  1. Past hour
  2. Most programs Ive seen (at least for north DFW) refuse to let kids onto the bus without their water jugs since its a part of their uniform checklist, any program that doesnt have this as a requirement to go to any game, show, competition, or heck especially rehearsals is really setting them up for failure If this isnt mandatory for EVERY school, Im frankly shocked there hasnt been more lawsuits or reports of heatstroke
  3. The Mesquite Marching Festival will be located at Mesquite ISD Staduim on September 27th 2025. Here's the list of all competing bands that have it listed as of 4/28 Mesquite West Mesquite North Mesquite Poteet Highland Park Rockwall
  4. You also should take in account that some students are gonna be stupid and not bring water cause they're not thinking. But I'm sure most band boosters out there have water stations at the very least.
  5. Mount Pleasant could host it as well. They already host the region 4 marching contest. It could possibly work as well.
  6. Today
  7. Speaking of the stadium situation, i was thinking if Gilmer would be able to host it. Right in the middle and has lots of space. the only thing that would be a problem is trying to get the Ad to let them use it.
  8. This is very intersesting. The past 2 years Van alstyne and Pleasent grove have had A Thousand years in there shows (Pg bought va's show) excited to see how this plays out
  9. Region 25 should be back in this area in 2026. Celina,Comunity, and Panther creek will most likely be moving upto 5a. that just leaves Farmersville,Van Alstyne, and Bonahm. Farmersville and Van Alstyne could easily take 2 of those state spots for the 2026 season
  10. Bells,Kennedale,Pilot Point, and whitesboro are attending via band calenders Farmersville will be at the mineola contest this year over this one
  11. Melissa,Bells,Lovejoy, And Piolt Point are confirmed to be at this contest via band calanders This contest is slowley becoming a contest for bigger schools
  12. 2025 Iron Horse Marching Classic ~ Mineola TX PRELIMS Where did you find a list of confirmed bands? I’m using this one, but I’m not sure if it’s official.
  13. A long as directors are smart and keep there kids watered it really shouldn't
  14. Makes my trombone haert sad
  15. POV the directors in this area
  16. i am getting more just a journey though the ages vibe
  17. Another thing about the Melissa contest is that it is a concrete jungle with it being early in the school year. There is no where to escape the sun and it can play a factor in early and middle of the day bands performing.
  18. Ik last year they did the large school/small school where it was like top 12 large being like 5A/6A and then 4 small being 1-4A I think idk but I think Celina will be in probably but yeah it’s gonna be harder considering how popular it’s getting
  19. Nope, it's usually a pretty good contest. However, I know a couple of schools that went last year are planning on going somewhere else. Of course schedules could change.
  20. 3A Mineola made finals 2 yrs ago and 4A Celina made finals last year. It's going to be hard for a 4A to make finals because this contest now going into it's 3rd year is going to heavily attended by 5A/6A bands. You might get 1 or 2 4A's but they got to be exceptional.
  21. Mineola Iron Horse Marching Classic - October 4th (9 Bands Already Confirmed)
  22. If you are in Area B this is your year to try and step up because I have a feeling in 2026-2027 some of the Area C schools will come back to Area B to try and round it out a bit more.j I agree as well, several good bands in Area B but after the Top 3 it kind of drops. Sure, there could be some dark horses but until they get out in competition and take on some of the Area C's I don't see much changing here.
  23. I also agree that I don't see much of anything changing. It's going to be another bloodbath this upcoming season and unless you have something that just blows away what you did last year then good luck! This upcoming year is also the year before reclassification so it's curious to see if some of these schools will move up to 5A or stay in 4A. I know the 5A cut off numbers will go up but how much is unknown. As far as the Lindale stadium goes, its a nice place but it's a difficult place to get in and out of when you got 23 4A bands competing. I also remember weather was a factor as well. Lindale is actually doing road construction as we speak to the school I believe to improve it. Yes, there were some bands that travelled along way away but that's how the lines got drawn unfortunately and will probably be redrawn for the 26-27 season. Yes, we all hope that there can be a center place for Area but it's hard in band especially in Area C. I doubt you will probably ever seen Area C down in far south east Texas because 3/4 of the schools are in NE Texas. I know that was an issue for 3A Area C as they were having it down at SFA and most of the schools competing in that were over 2 hours away hence I think that was the reason they moved it this past year.
  24. If I had a nickel for every time a CFISD band had a fantastic butterfly show, I’d have two nickels- which is not much but it’s weird that it happened twice…😭
  25. This should be interesting!
