Not just CFISD, but places like pearland and HISD areas like that for more diverse competition than just a smaller area comp preview. I think they should decrease finals by just a tiny bit from 14 to 10 for more competition

What is everyone's predictions for 4A area D after last years realignment? Do we see the same bands make it to state or do things get mixed up?

I’m really curious for Highland Park As much fun the kids probably have, I think they need to move into doing more competitive shows. If so I lowkey could see them 2nd or 1st here. They weren’t bad last year but that show was…..something

I’m still rooting for my peeps at Lakeview Centennial. Was really happy to see them make state after going down to 5A

Yeah….it’s not really a good thing if multiple other band directors think you should’ve made state and tell your band director that we would’ve done better if Area was on the planned day. But nothing we can do now except build up from what we have.

For what it’s worth, many of us feel your program shouldve taken 4th (I liked both, but your screamer left me speechless)

After some snooping, it looks like West Mesquite announced their show last night. Seems to be about time or rock and roll?? Does anyone have insight into this?

This 100%!!! Especially since WM got second place at Area prelims, I can see them coming back with absolute vengeance and intensity. On top of that, they have just risen so much year to year so I’m excited to see what they do. Overall, the competitiveness of this Area definitely is heating up. it would be cool to see all three MISD 5A schools advance to state, too.

Wow. Almost ten years ago this forum was made… all’s I gotta say is that I became drum major through hard work and dedication and a passion to make my program great. I will be conducting and leading the Foster High School marching band for the 2025 AND 2026 seasons! God is good. I will look back on this post two years later and give all the details 😄

Almost 6 years with no activity

Before I saw that it had music from Dune I was thinking that it reminded me of Dune lol.

Cypress Ranch had the same thing too, but I wasn’t completely sure if it was going to be this or Lonestar Preview. Either way I love to see more CFISD at Katy Marching Festival

On our calendar it says we either go to this comp or lone star preview but I hope we go to this one since we have a better chance at making finals than lone star 😊

This will most likely be crazy amazing- I'm looking forward to seeing how their show plays out!

WOW! I’m so hyped for this show! Their designs have been improving so much lately, and I just know the costuming and field aesthetics are going to look stunning. With the momentum they have right now, I really think this show can top last years. I’m excited to see how they take things to the next level!
