I can answer this question 🙋‍♂️ This won’t impact the Katy bands as much, since they have a bit of an “advantage”. they’re already familiar with how Legacy sounds during stadium rehearsals or football games. The main difference between Legacy and the Berry Center is that the field at Legacy Stadium is kind of underground, while the field at the Berry Center is on ground level. There’s also a giant brick building next to the Berry Center that makes the band seem “louder” because it blocks some of the sound.

Also, Travis is doing this one and south Houston instead of San Macros this year, I think Travis is going to have a way tougher time making finals this time around, especially since most of the trumpets that carry their section are graduating.

I agree with this, but I’d also like to make sure we don’t forget about Jersey Village, thought they had improved a bit from the 2023 mishap. Though 12 bands to finals. I’m WAITING to see this. It’s TIME the bubble bands get in!!!

I know the Leander schools have some pretty good concert programs as well as LT, Wakeland, and Roma. I think those bands listed above have some of the better piece selections then the other honor band contenders.

tx units kinda crushed it in SW prelims in Dayton. all of em looking like they'll make finals. bridgeland 2nd overall, Burleson centennial in 4th. doesn't look like anyone's catching ayala however. always interesting to see how tx does here. participation in wgi percussion in tx is kinda on the anemic side outside of maybe Houston, but the ones that field teams still do very well. looks like Churchill's still the only one that has won SW, over 20 years ago. maybe another gold soon??

ANOTHER QUESTION, Are we getting 6 states spots/12 finalists??!? there around 31 bands in this area so we can’t afford to lose one band ik it like a very low chance, but it possible

Hey, I know this is about 6 months out and the band list isn't posted yet but I thought I might as well start this form so people can go ahead and talk about some of the bands from last year. I will post the band list as soon as I see if but please help me out if you find it first. In the mean time I'll send the list from last year since there shouldn't be to many changes in bands. THIS IS 2024!!!!! DON'T BECOME ATTACHED TO THIS SCHEDULE!!!!

The couple of questions I have heard are Is Katy going to make the finals? What will the bubble bands make happen? Is Cinco going to build on what they did last year? Is 7L going to maintain last year's standard? How will legacy affect the Katy bands?
