  1. Hey, y'all! Here's to respond to y'all's comments: Our show this year is going to be veryyy different (like not like our usual shows different). It's a show we've been visually and musically wanting to do for a long time. When the show is actually revealed and worked on at the end of May (we have a end of year preview camp), I will tell y'all what it's about. But, I have a lot of hope for this show and I hope y'all enjoy our 2025-2026 show just as much as I will!

Does anyone happen to know what’s happening at Waxahachie? I noticed their head director position was posted to the TMEA website. Of all the changes so far in Area C, this could potentially be the biggest change yet.

Yeah SLC is another example of inconsistency. Took them 3 years to get back to state after advancing in 2021. In 2022 they must've had a rough prelims performance with them getting 12th but then losing to Dville in the tie breaker. And then last year, they tied with KC for 7th and would've made state based on prelims results but fell short in finals. It'll be interesting to see if they keep a sense of consistency as well.

Bell just had some cleaning issues musically last year which kinda shocked me considering how good they were in 2023. Last year wasn’t bad by any means but just not as polished come area, but I’m excited to see if they bounce back or not. It’s funny how they’ve been doing recently, it’s like one season they make state and then they don’t, just need to find a way to be consistent

I told my bassoon teacher that I like synth more than bassoon and she "your opinion is wrong and you're gonna start practicing bassoon." TBH concert band is extremely easy to me and I can play any of the music just from fingering music on the side in band class so I never practice at home since it's to easy LOL

  11. We are leaving Wednesday morning. It’s always great to talk with the other Houston-area teams, color guard instructors, and enthusiasts on our same flight and at the airports. Lots of comraderie and wonderful conversation. That’s just a warm-up though to the enthusiastic response all the guards receive coming up the tunnel after their performance runs. The WGI World Championships is a such an awesome event! Let’s go get ‘em Team Texas! Best wishes to ALL!

  12. I added a few more bands to the enrollment list but Music For All says there are 15 confirmed so far. I hope we can get at least 20 for this early season contest but of course would love to see it full at 24.
