Wow my child is in the Forney band. Believe me it was hard on ALL in the situation. We do feel bad for Poteet they have a great show and worked very hard. We did NOTHING WRONG. Our band was the alternate and it worked out we get to go but we hate its at the expense of another band. We DID EARN the right to compete at state just like all the other bands. We have had wonderful support and thank everyone for their kind words and support for our band. We have not talked trash about Poteet in fact when they played at our stadium our band clapped and cheered for them as they walked by us in the stands at halftime. We know they are good and we respect them. Our kids are excited and work hard just like everyone does Poteet did not give us a gift it just worked out like this. We know they will be back next year stronger then ever. Our director teaches our kids to have the utmost respect for every band. Good luck Forney band and thanks everyone for the kind words.

Its very sad for the kids, all of them its been quite and emotional roller coaster for all involved. I am happy for our kids in Forney but feel for Poteets kids it was not their fault a mistake was made. I to wish this would have been handled before area so NONE of these bands had to go through this. Its a hard situation for all involved.

My child is in Forney band we are sorry for Poteet but our kids are so excited about going to State. Wish us luck and again sorry for Poteet i feel for their kids.
