I think maybe the problem some had with your post was that the poster was telling a personal, emotional story and your attempt at "scarcasm" was maybe a bit of an inappropiate response.

Everyone that has posted on this thread has been very complimentary towards one another. I see no reason they can't give their opinions on everything from other bands uniforms, music, show, marching etc..... I believe this whole website is top notch, and well monitored. I appreciate them being here so students, parents, fans etc.. can come and vent their feeling along with others that know the ups and downs that comes with being a MARCHING BAND MEMBER!

As with the other 26 bands that performed yesterday, Leanders placement simply just wasn't good enough to advance, but really if you feel you marched your best and your family's happy and you're happy then your job was done . I suggest maybe asking your director to share the comments from the judges to get a little insight.

I had a great time watching all the incredible bands perform their hearts out yesterday and wish Cedar Park , Bowie, Westlake, Vista Ridge, Churchill, and Akins the very best of luck. Personally, my favorites were Cedar Park, Vista Ridge and Connally Yes, I said the "C" word Connally. I thought their performance was definiately one of the best and I'm a quite shocked they did not advance. I know we rely on just a few judges to determine our fate, but that's the way it is and we must accept it and not place blame. It will not change the outcome. Good luck to all !! I'm not really interested in watching them "duke it out". I know they are all three good and will make finals and more. I'm more interested in watching the others and seeing which ones come out with a spot in finals.

Even though I'm having fun with my picks I really do wish the best for all bands competing. I know everyone has and still are working very hard to give their best show. It could easily change for one performance to the next..... Stay focused and believe!

I disagree. I don't see anything wrong with someone asking the plethora of talented marching band members and alumni on this site their opinion on a band and/or their performance, but hey that's just me
