from 4A to 5A : Vista Ridge - high probability, almost a "for sure" Connally - probably or very, very close (depending on what the cut of number is for 5A this time) Hendrickson - low possibilty

no matter when, where or why SOMEONE will be unhappy with the judges at one time or another....Myself included

Ok, if that were true (which I completely disagree) then maybe on the flip side. instead of the "switching of prelim to finals judges" meant that maybe the prelim judges didn't "go by the book", but rather what THEY preferred. We need to keep in mind AGAIN that these judges are not just picked from some ramdon hat at the local Wal-mart (no offense Wal-mart ) they are VERY competent, experienced judges and they don't quite have the emotional attachment to any of these bands as we do. again, a big CONGRATS to all the State qualifiers, the 10 finalists..... and lastly CONGRATS to Poteet, Connally and Dickinson....GREAT JOB!

and so everyone knows what UIL is looking for so if schools wish to go far in the UIL system then why not just concentrate on that type of show and save the "other" shows for BOA and other misc. competitions....There's something for everyone, ya just gotta know when to use it ...IMO

yeah, that's happened before and the way I try to listen for it is "Connally high school" and "THE Colony" I tried to listen for the "THE"

Not really , and my post was not directed to any one post, just a pattern I notice from competition to competition whether it's UIL, BOA or just any ramdon competition...it just always seem to happen...Curiosity about the judging system is always a good thing, my point was the ever so popular rush to judge and blame the judges for scores they don't agree with, but hey if ya can't blame the judges who can you blame...lol THAT was just a joke ...
