  1. And I just happened to read this at the "Twilight" of the night here in MI...
  2. Man... that's such a shame. That movie is FANTASTIC! Truly one of the best that year.
  3. You mean Woodstock? Anyone...anyone?
  4. Nick Williams arranged the 2005 G-town show.
  5. Please don't kidnap me at Gn's. At least wait till after Finals and after I've had my Steak N Shake!!!!!!!
  6. No offense to anyone at all... ...but I would LOVE to have Greg Bimm (and Alfred Watkins, for that matter) judge my show. They are two of the most highly respected band directors in the country. They both have won numerous GN titles, performed at BOA Concert Band Festival, Midwest, and tons of other things that surely "allows them" to judge in Texas. Just my two cents.
  7. I would just like to say I have never copied a Hebron show. And as a matter of fact, never seen one. Just wanted to set the record straight.
  8. Don't forget Merry Mount - Howard Hanson. Full reps for my 2008 shows are on my site, btw.
  9. *takes a stab* What piece is it, Daniel?
  10. Exactly. Tarpon Springs couldn't do any other their shows at UIL. I think Connally had to remove their narration for UIL when they went to GN's. But now that I think about it... what about RR's use of the "talon's" quote at UIL? We didn't have a problem with it then.
  11. I just wanted to put this out there... to stop all the rumors and predictions: I will not be at this BOA. I will instead be at BOA-Ypsi. I hope this doesn't affect your predictions.
  12. Not quite. There are breaks between the first and second tune, but the ballad kind of "bleeds" into the closer.
  13. My first fall semester at Crockett was 1992. 1993 was my sophomore year.
  14. How dare you. Crockett HS, Class of 1996
  15. I'm going to throw out a completely unjustified statistic. It is in no way accurate, but perhaps will make my point. I would argue that of ALL the marching bands out there, only about 10% actually compete at the BOA/National level. The rest actually just do "fun" marching band shows, get their "I," and/or don't care about competing until almost Thanksgiving. It would be interesting if someone would count all the marching bands in TX (1a-5a) and see the percentage that compete at the National/BOA/Super-Competitive level. I imagine the numbers will astound all those "BOA will destroy UIL" crowd and show just how "small" super-competitive marching band really is.
  16. I humbly accept!!! :-) hehehehe
  17. HAHAHAHa. Yeah. Blue = Blue! Awww... thanks! (btw.... Dan is my dad! ) Thanks!! I love writing for you guys. Travis, Jason, Ian, and Jeanette are so much fun!!!
  18. You are correct, sir! On The Waterfront - Bernstein Radiant Joy - Steven Bryant Blue - Jolley Sorry about the text size. I figured bigger notes, smaller text!
  19. And how would you know that, good sir?
  20. Don't you mean the owner of Whole Foods?
  21. Oooh... a second TMEA this year?!?!?!
  22. I believe as long as you secure the necessary copyrights (licensing, synchronization, mechanical) then you should be fine.
  23. Actually, the music was taken from the original teaser trailer. It was later released on one of those promotional albums as "Themes from The Passion." But "Resurrection" is a GREAT track!
