    Well, there's definitely a cleaner run on the horizon for Hebron. That's probably not going to reach the heights they want this weekend, though.

    Can’t say I agree. They’d be easily out at Austin, DFW, Houston and San Antonio. Waco might even be a little rough.

    I would love it if all UIL region happens during the school week. Then you could have on-year Area during the typical region date, off-year during the typical Area date, and BOA and USSBA can have their normal late year contests in peace.

    Considerably easier to hide musical and visual dirt in a bigger band. And easier to get a better blend of sound.

    Welcome back to the top half Marcus!! We missed you! One great thing about Marcus since 2017 is that they’re really presenting their LIGHTS OUT percussion section tons more. Super happy to hear more from them.

    You could tell this was a new experience for Pearland. Tons of excitement, tons of nervousness. They had the clean run earlier this weekend that they needed two years ago. But now it’s not a new experience for them anymore. Can’t wait to see them help usher in a new era for Houston bands from now on!

    Round Rock is about help Texas grab the outright record for bands from one stand in Grand National Finals. So excited to see them back in finals tonight! Can’t wait to see them Saturday night in two weeks!

    I can’t pull up/remember specific examples right now, but I know it’s happened before. There might be something in the rule book about it but I’m enjoying Texas State so can’t pull out my laptop to check right now

    UIL snapshot was last week. New information comes in and if you can take advantage of it, no reason not to.

    Yeah I didn’t want to say anything in fear of being wrong, but I’m actually not shocked that FloMo is bottom half, but surprised the judges called it that way. The performance in the dome was not so great in terms of energy.
