Did all the Texas bands end up on Friday by coincidence or did they choose the day on which they wanted to perform for what I'm assuming are logistical reasons? Also I'm going to go ahead and make the guess right now: A Texas band will come in first place in Friday's prelims

I have a feeling there won't be an upset in the top 6 and the bands listed earlier (marcus, ld bell, twhs, bowie, ctj, hebron) will take those spots. If anyone is to fall, I think it will be Hebron - but I don't see that happening honestly. For the 7-10 grouping, I would probably put Round Rock, Cedar Park, Coppell (they did have a very good showing at BOA Allen), and reagan, though I think Reagan will be at the tail end of this group. And then the most competitive area will be for spots 11-14 which could be any of the following in my opinion: Flower Mound, Richland (they seem to be a peak late usually), Cedar Ridge, Plano East, Blue Springs MO, Vandegrift, Westlake, Keller Central, Keller, Leander, Spring, and maybe a few others. This contest is ridiculous honestly and I feel like it's not all about the -Marcus, LD Bell, TWHS- trifecta anymore. Any of those top six could potentially take the top three spots. This just shows the depth of talent in this competition and even the 20th place band is probably pretty darn good.

Don't forget James Bowie! I'd say those bands will take the top six spots most likely. But another thing, can somebody please explain to me why bands like Marcus, LD Bell, TWHS, and Bowie all keep video recordings of their shows off of the internet? You search any of those bands on youtube and you can't even find a single football game performance, and I'm 99% sure it's done on purpose. I honestly can't make a good judgment call for predictions until I've seen the performances but there are none available.

Does anybody have the results from the contest? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

No, I believe Plano East has only attended the state competition in 1998 and 2000

I'm very surprised on how little people have spoken of Plano East. They seemed to have come out of nowhere (Having last made state in 2000) but beat L.D. Bell and Richland at prelims and finals at the area B competition this year. Additionally, they were just announced a few hours ago to have made BOA San Antonio finals. It also seems they are being largely predicted to make State Finals but in all honesty, who would have predicted that a month ago before their performance at area? What does everyone think of their show? I personally hope they do well, seeing as they seem to be an underdog
