  1. Richland has a better show this year than last years state finals. They just need to perform and let the cards fall where they may. I’ve been to several State contest with this group and seen some crazy stuff when it comes to judging. For example last year didn’t see Aledo not making finals and Richland did. Richland band and directors are wonderful. Yes we would like to make finals but it’s about continuing to improve each season and continuing the rich history this band has. Any band making it to State can hold there head high and know they are in a special group of 5A bands. Go Richland Band we are proud of you!
  2. Didn’t South Hills earn a 2?
  3. Congratulations to Richland going up against some big 4AAAA class bands in Braswell and Permian. So proud of Richland, also congrats to Boswell and Irving for making finals. Go Royals!
  4. I like you choices, Richland show this season will be more complicated drill and music.
  5. No problem with being biased just be open minded. I thought Timberview had a fine show last year, Area F is tough but with possibly of having 5 representatives opens the door for bands like Timberview. Good Luck on your season.
  6. With the success of Richland last year I’m excited to see them at this contest. Definitely a step up of competition from Las Cruces 2023 and this years show has the potential to rise above the “Under Pressure “ show. We expect to be ready for Area F and be back to SA State this year.
  7. Location is one of the selling points for bands, this has always been a good contest with a good stadium. It’s centralized plenty of eating establishments and BISD always gets great judges.
  8. Birdville should be a top contender, they did quality for state against three tough bands above them in area F. Good luck Hawks
  9. I was so glad to see Richland make finals and place 9th. It just verified the successful path the directors have been taking to get our program moving up. Last year was a promising success with this year just amazing. The wins for BOA Regional champion and USBands Burleson champion were not looked at by others as enough to consider Richland in State conversation’s but we trusted the directors that the early win’s verified the show was good early in the season and by the time Area came the band would be ready. I love when bands like Richland and Roma break into the mix with the larger bands and I admire their directors to get the most of their kids to be successful. Look forward to next season for Richland band. Also shout out to Area F bands for the success this area is turning heads. The competition was wonderful and look forward to seeing more improvements in this area.
  10. Congratulations to the Haltom Band and their directors.
  11. Richland, Birdville and Haltom make up BISD and only do exhibition since the contest is their own.
  12. I graduated from a Fort Worth school and unfortunately booster clubs just don’t know how to get the parents involved. Parents just don’t see value in supporting band programs because they don’t see results which in turn the kids suffer because I guarantee they work just as hard as any other suburban band program.
  13. Just for clarification the Paschal Boosters provided the band trailer. FWISD does very little for band programs
  14. They were on the rise pre Covid but they are not an upper tier that could sustain through Covid. They are middle tier but with the potential to be higher with a good show. I’m a Richland alumni and we love Haltom.
  15. Haltom is a dark horse. They had a good show last year but didn’t make state. Mr. Hull knows how to get this group back to form and will get them back to state even though they are not ever considered by the talking heads.
  16. It’s unfortunate this area has many band programs that don’t make area and only has 4 Representatives leaving out some really good bands. Now that creates it harder which makes for a very competitive area knowing only 4 will make it.
  17. Last year Burleson Centennial chose not to attend but would have been one of the four. This was the finals last year without BC attending, try telling 5-10 this is the “easiest “ areas? It’s not these are quality programs some like Richland have a wonderful perigee just like many the competition in other areas got harder. Richland had a rebirth last year and will have a better season coming up and I believe will surprise some but we have history and believe the program is returning to form. Good luck to all bands in this area. 10th: Saginaw 9th: Grapevine 8th: Summit 7th: Birdville 6th: Azle 5th: Midlothian 4th : Brewer 3rd: Richland 2nd: CH 1st: Aledo
  18. Congratulations to Richland Honor Band and the Directors! What an awesome achievement. Good luck!
  19. Smart since Area F is usually held T Birdville Stadium.
  20. Good to see Arlington attending Birdville contest. I’ll be sure to watch their performance, good luck this season .
  21. I understand this venue different from BOA but it’s an opportunity to perform and see how you stack up to other programs. I’m excited for our upcoming show it’s gonna be awesome.
  22. First time Richland competing at a USBands event. Very good chance Richland makes finals and scores high.
