Round Rock failed to make Area D Finals in 2012 but placed 8th at San Antonio (would have been 7th without a penalty). So yeah this weekend is a whole new ball game, especially with the change in line up.

UIL has always been cooler on The Woodlands compared to BOA. I don't think they have ever medaled at state, which is crazy considering their success at SA and Nationals.

I honestly feel like Vista isn't getting enough love considering how good they are this year. I wouldn't be suprised to see them medal at State and BOA SA at this rate.

Understandable, Rouse has a great production this year and is performing at a high level. No need to tear others down to acknowledge that. Besides it actually deludes Rouse' accomplishments if you say a group they beat is no good!

I didn't catch their prelims performance but it is the same group of judges so they must have been much better in finals. Vandegrift was also over a point ahead of Rouse so prelim scores can always be a bit wonky. It does make me wonder if Austin took 12 back in 2019 where Round Rock just missed finals would they have done better with a second performance as they had strong results the rest of the season. I'm excited to see how everyone does moving forward!

Definitely deserve top half as well. Great showing from them.

Analyzing the balance of panels is like the strength of schedule for sports teams. Every year is a new year and we don't even know how each group will do in competition yet. It's probably not as bad as it looks.

I'm really disappointed Hebron won't be able to defend their crown after winning the past 2 years. Predicting Nationals will be even crazier too.

Hopefully Hebron and The Woodlands make that podium race a lot more interesting next year. You can't argue much with those results though.
