I thought PESH would place higher but I think if they can clean up the show it has great potential. I think their musical score was one of the most difficult I heard (i wasn't there for all the bands) but the last movement was pretty messy and I know they can improve on that.

Did they push back the start time. I see on the Plano Band Facebook that they play at 7 pm. I would think it would be 6:45 pm. Just curious!

Yay! I might try to run up there for a hour to see PESH and PSHS. I've had kids at both. Just watched the PESH show from last night at the Flower Mound football game. They might surprise a few people today.

I think it's $10 and that gets you into both Prelims and Finals.

Is anyone going to this? Would love to get a list of bands/times for the finalists after they announce them so I when I need to be there by. I have a new puppy so can't make the whole day but might try and make finals.

My son graduated from PSHS in 2021. They had some success with Marianette but then because of the Pandemic didn't really get to enjoy a second marching season there. He was home and was very happy to see their show. I wish you the best success for the rest of the marching band season. I am going to try to catch a few more competitions.

Thank You for posting. My son went to the finals and was disappointed they didn't announce.all the placements just the top 3. I will say I was pleasantly surprised by Plano Seniors show (I only went during prelims, couldn't leave my husband to puppysit all day, LOL.). I think if they can clean up the marching and music a bit they might be able to move up in placements in other competitions. But we'll see. I loved Rock Hills and Independences shows, didn't see Braswell, sorry I missed them.

Well it's not live and not from this year, but here is their show from 2019-Marienette (my youngest was a junior, unfortunately not much marching was done in 2020!) https://youtu.be/JuM3EHTjgX0 I never knew Plano went to State. I know since my kids have been in school PESH is really the best marching band in Plano but for many years PSHS just stopped going to area and just competed in regionals. I like their show this year (which was supposed to be last years show) and they improved greatly between the PESH Invitational and UIL regionals, but not sure if it is enough to get them into finals, but I can hope!

Is anyone here going to be there when they announce the finalist for Area C? Just trying to see the fastest way to figure out if I am going to attend since it's a bit of a drive to get there from Plano. I can't make it during the day but might talk my husband into going if any of the Plano bands make it into finals (Well PSHS or PESH since I've had kids in both ) . I figure it's my last chance to see them all play this year (at least in person!).

What Area are you thinking of attending?

All the Region 25 bands received a one. For 6A that is Plano, Plano East and West. Allen and Wylie. I believe all the 5A schools did as well.

I didn't see a topic yet for 6A Area C. I was very impressed by JJ Pearce when I saw them at the Plano East Invitational.

Anyone have update who made finals?

I am planning on attending on Saturday. No more kids left in the band, but figured since I didn't get my fix last year I would cheer on the kids this year. Does anyone know if they will allow you to bring bottled water into the stadium given it's supposed to be 94 degrees? I know normally they wouldn't but with the temps so high, I would think they would want to do what they can so us fans don't pass out from the heat, LOL.

You can add Plano Senior Band to the: Carrollton TOC McKinney Marching Invitational. Also, Clark HS (Plano, Non Varsity) will be at the Princeton Sounds of Fall contest.
