Marching band is playing loud. Executing well drawn out thoughtful clean sets and doing so with outstanding precision. It's turning into a theatre production sadly

I also am getting tired of boa intermixing with drum core. Soon marching band will be boring and filled with costumes, props, and singing. Y can't we just have normal drum core bands that play loud execute their MARCHING and add in cool visual effects....not walk seemlessly on the field or dance around a giant Swan or oak tree for gods sake

Oh this makes a lot of sense. We kinda use those. Can't wait to see all the bands tommorrow. We perform right before cedar park. Hopefully our style of fast paced intense marching will sway the judges thinking instead of the normal boa style

Who cares. 4a state is gonna be a good one to watch. Cedar park. Poteet. Friends wood. Waxahachie. Vista ridge. Vandergrift. Connaly. The list goes on and on.

Our set to set counts normally are about 10-12 counts around that and our show is about 7min 40 secs long. I've never heard of a sub set. Wat is this?

Just a question. How many sets are in anyone's high school show. I go to poteet and we have 76 and last year we had 72. I'm just wondering if most of the state bands normally have this much plus or minus

I go to poteet and I would have to say our show with 76 sets and more than 3/4 of the show at 168. It is a challenging show along with playing blue shades. I would have to say I'm in athletics a I still am always seeing black at the end of our show

I go to poteet but I'm just wondering. Ive watched a lot of shows and the only schools I've seen perform like us are Sherman, waxahachie, dripping springs a little bit and, prosper. Are there any other bands marching at 170 Bpm and having 75+ Sets? It just seems like were the only ones that have that style?
