^ but thats still unfair cuz there are ALOT of good bands in area D i bet Westlake and Leander could make state if they were in different areas. and football has state every year we only get it like once every two years. and people stop comparing how hard the two are!! jeez they both got there ups and downs, shouldnt really try saying one is ALOT harder then the other

ok i did not mean if its harder to play an instrument and march on the field then making touch downs. cuz yes that is comparing an apple and an orange or whatever! i meant like the way you make state. ya know like region, area, area, finals, state, state finals for band versus district, bidistrict,region,area,state. or how ever it goes for football.

self hype? idk but ya its true i mean no offense, but look at an Akins 05 video... ya not a pretty sight and theyve really cleaned up and are really good they deserve winning everything they did.

i have mix feelings on this, cuz football yes only two teams make it, but if you look at it in band you have more competition going from area to state then at state the blood bath begins for the top 3 spots

ya i wouldnt stay in band if it wasnt for marching season, like around this time especially i start wanting to quit band since its so boring but i guess around the end of the year i get excited for the next marching season

Has your band ever fallen apart? you know just like people falling, people colliding, tempo problems, etc in your band? if so where We had one at a football game, it was horrible we had just added one movement that week and hadnt really got good practice on it and alot of people didnt really learn it, well that day we were performing at half time and something felt really weird like really really weird. then we get to the end the movement, and half the band is still playing a whole 8 measures later they end, talk about embarrassing!! At area the same thing happened during finals cuz the drummers didnt watch the drum major for some dumb reason, which is probably one of the factors for us not making state and dropping so low. do explain your stories. if yall have any
