  1. Spring is, unless something changed, and as for Westfield...I don't know.
  2. Because they're trying to rock as hard as the drumline. Is anybody else's feet sore?
  3. I do now. Band camp starts in...6 hours. So ends the "social life" that I didn't have. Is anybody else still awake?
  4. I'm what they call middle-class. And I'm watching Futurama, he has a a holophoner or something like that. Sorta looks like a futuristic english horn. What comes on after Futurama?
  5. It makes sense to me, that's why I'm up right now. Are you watching any sort of TV at the moment?
  6. yes, yes I am. Do you listen to The Strokes?
  7. c'mon blooooo!!!! And I feel out of place, I missed the Phantom show in SA. I came in from the parking lot too late and only got to hear it from the souvenior shop area. It sounded amazing though.
  8. If the multiverse theory is true, is that what our universe is expanding into, the space between the parallel universes and ours? Assuming there is space between them, of course. But then what would happen when two universes touched? And the Kelvin scale does start on 0.
  9. Section 112, Row 19, Seats 9-11 or 10-12, I forgot. I'm probably only going to be in the stands for the prelims and the last 5 corps. Like G'TownPIT said: I'll do my best to stop by and say hi before The Cadets start though.
  10. Band Director Story: One fine day, we were rehearsing Sketches on a Tudor Psalm and the brass was having a tough time playing on of the sections of the piece. Apparantly, it ended up being too much for our director, who lifted up his stand and threw it back down in a fit of rage. He started to count us off and a little red trickle ran down his nose. He had cut himself on his stand and was bleeding. So everyone started laughing (including him), and we didn't get anything else done the rest of that class. The next day he had a band-aid on his nose, and now I'm pretty sure he has a scar. Man, almost makes me miss concert band. oh yeah...that's gone on with the entire back row. And they didn't get caught either.
  11. I'll give the pretend dollar to you.
  12. Cadets 1996 So do I get the pretend dollar?
  13. The main reason is we need two more people to play vibes in the front ensemble. Also, 7 snares is pretty hard to clean. Especially when 3 of them are incoming freshmen. Really good freshmen, though.
  14. We had a sort of "Spring Training" in early June, but there's nothing else major until late July. As for drumline, we're having weekly practices. Gotta keep them chops up.
  15. We lost our Color Guard director, but got Kelsy Gleason of the Madison Scouts as our new one.
  16. Alright, so I was foolish to give the numbers so early. Updated: 7 Snares (although our instructor is planning on cutting it to 5) 0 Tenors 5 Basses And I still have no info on cymbals/pit. But if Spring bassline trends continue as they have the past 2 years, we'll have 4 at the end of the season.
  17. HASWE was awesome! It was the best band camp experience I've ever had. Definitely doing it again next year. haha...Nessum Dorman...nothin like "surrond sound suspended cymbal"
  18. Blue Devils - The Phenomenon of Cool (2003) Love this show.
  19. *cough*it's Twomey*cough* And I didn't know which movements we ended up using, we only did something like two recordings of all three movements. Whatever. Good luck to all the State Finalists!
  20. Congrats to all the bands who made it to State, especially Spring! Woo! Glad to have been a part of that band. By the way, when is the State listening taking place? Also, does anybody know which movements of The Planets Spring submitted?
  21. yeah, us spring high north kids tend to pick up on stuff pretty fast
  22. we aren't even going on a spring trip this year. supposedly we're saving money for next year's out-of-state trip. spring high south hasn't been spring high south since around 1975...old school
  23. it looks like the deformed child of a hummer and truck. i voted no
