We played that my sophomore year while I was in Concert Band. Sad thing is, we beat all the other first bands at UIL except for Westfield, Spring and the Woodlands. So the order was Westfield 1st Spring 1st Woodland 1st Westfield 2nd Kingwood 1st Klien 1st etc... It was awesome. I we played Candide Suite(Bernstien), Mock Morris (Grainger) and some march i cant remember.

I saw you guys at BOA Houston. Very very good show. I like the guard. Oh and congrats to the Guard for thier promotion. I like your band program and glad to see that the fire is going again. Much love to ya'!

For me, Candide Suite is better. You just can't beat Make Our Garden Grow played extremly well. Its absolutely breath-taking played with excellent tone quality and balance.

Well, i dunno if its died out, but at Westfield, some of us use the term...FYC. But I will be nice and tell you the meaning. It mean F@#$ Yo Couch. Made famous by dave chapelle impersonation of rick james. Whenever we get angry at someone (anyone, teachers, parents, professors) we give 'em a big FYC and all is good in the world.

It works both ways. Attitude effects execution and in a different sense execution effects attitude. I think that execution is the larger part but attitude is also present. You wont win a competition with attitude alone. There must be substance there. You act as if your the most badass band there and expect to get first. However, if you are on top execution wise, then you are on top in the competition. Along with attitude come emotion, and emoting your show is extremly important but PERFORMING your show is even more important.

Ok, Manuel, I know your good but dude, where the heck are you getting all this stuff? Anyways... I see that RR is also using the side ploom effect. That is really awesome, but do they have the option of a forward ploom also? I know Westfield has the side ploom option but didn't use it at BOA Houston. I thought RR was using them but I could barley tell from all the white at Houston. Very nice effect going on with that. Manuel, can you tell me if Cesario came up with that? I know he disigned RR and Westfield's uniforms and I was just wondering if he did that cause its pretty smart. Nice pics and keep us up to date with new uniforms....I still wonder where ure getting them from >< L8er
