  2. JUST TO TELL YOU GUYS...HASWE IS BAD@$$. Its sooo cool, you meet so many other ppl. Its like region band without all the fuss and audition music. And its not like were bad. We could compete some of the 1st bands at A LOT of schools. There are links to recordings if you dont believe me. Even though it is predominantly Westfield students, in no means is it biased in any way. If you play better than someone else, you'll get a higher chair. PERIOD. Its soo much fun. Just incase you didn't feel like going to the site the here is the 2006 reperatiore... Gavorkna Fanfare by: Jack Stamp Providence by: David Gillingham Nessun Dorma by: Puccini Symphony #2 by: Frank Ticheli Pines of the Appian Way From Pines of Rome by: Respighi
  3. As a percussion family, we really need to support each other so lets start referring an posting solos and ensembles. We have such a range of what we can play becuase our instrament(s) and so varied. If its latin, or afro-funk, chamber music to something that just sound really cool. Post it here..... Solo I played my junior year, its called Virginia Tate...its amazing! Especially the mid-end cadenza section. One of my favorite pieces of all time! Virginia Tate by Paul Smadbeck One of the most amazing percussion ensembles you will ever hear. Crown of Thorns by David Maslanka. Top percussion ensemble played it while we in the second band were stuck with Stained Glass. Have to open the file, don't worry no attachments. Turn speakers up it is playing just really soft in the beginning. Crown of Thorns by David Maslanka, Played by the OU percussion ensemble in 1998 SEE I STARTED KEEP IT GOING
  4. AWW Man THAT LOOKS AMAZING!!! I watched the entire video. Looks very intrigueing. Very nice i will buy for shure if the price is reasonable.
  5. At Westfield, we do percussion ensembles and that is quite ok with me. We succeed at marching percussion and dont do any of it in the spring but bust our buts in the summer and fall. I have personally never experinced indoor drumline so I dont really know. It seems REALLY REALLY cool. I would love to do it but I think there is more satisfaction in prooving that your percussion studio has depth. Not just performing on drums but me being center snare this year, playing a difficult vibe part in a collegate ensemble, The Palace of Nine Perfections (commissioned by University of Oklahoma (a premiere percussion program)), and playing a 16 page four mallet solo along with Texas Honor Band quality music is just a little more satisfying then another semester of drumline. Now, I don't mean to sound pretentious at all, and I FULLY respect what winter drumlines do cause its just you guys out there and no band, playing literature WAY more difficult than that of normal marching band season. And I congratulate the undertaking of learning a coreographed show. Just not my cup of tea. Soo... just to get something on this percussion board that is my two cents.
  6. Westfield is playing: Sabres and Spurs-Sousa Capriccio Espagnol-Rimsky-Korskov Variations and Fugue-Victor Giannini Thats our repertiore for Honor Band
  7. Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried. Ever. Chuck Norris does not sleep. He waits. Chuck Norris is currently suing NBC, claiming Law and Order are trademarked names for his left and right legs. The chief export of Chuck Norris is pain. If you can see Chuck Norris, he can see you. If you can't see Chuck Norris, you may be only seconds away from death. Chuck Norris has counted to infinity. Twice. Chuck Norris does not hunt because the word hunting implies the probability of failure. Chuck Norris goes killing. Chuck Norris' blood type is AK+. ****-Kicking Positive. It is compatible only with heavy construction equipment, tanks, and fighter jets. Chuck Norris is 1/8th Cherokee. This has nothing to do with ancestry, the man ate a ****ing Indian. In fine print on the last page of the Guinness Book of World Records it notes that all world records are held by Chuck Norris, and those listed in the book are simply the closest anyone else has ever gotten. There is no chin behind Chuck Norris' beard. There is only another fist Chuck Norris once roundhouse kicked someone so hard that his foot broke the speed of light, went back in time, and killed Amelia Earhart while she was flying over the Pacific Ocean. Chuck Norris originally appeared in the "Street Fighter II" video game, but was removed by Beta Testers because every button caused him to do a roundhouse kick. When asked bout this "glitch," Norris replied, "That's no glitch." Chuck Norris was the fourth wise man, who gave baby Jesus the gift of beard, which he carried with him until he died. The other three wise men were enraged by the preference that Jesus showed to Chuck's gift, and arranged to have him written out of the bible. All three died soon after of mysterious roundhouse-kick related injuries. Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoloy card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game UNO

  15. Heck no man. The trial was the best part. You didn't know if the movie was about trashing the belief or verifying it. I thought it was very well written showing both the possibilities and the pure factual evidence of this "true story". Yea its pretty freak but a VERY good movie I thought.
