  1. totally understand, bro. good luck with your audition!
  2. word...seems a few bell kids are at coats this year, from the very few i've met.
  3. from www.bluecoats.com "Immediate Opening for One Tuba Player" links provided for further contact at www.bluecoats.com
  4. 87 garfield. that's all i want...i'll be severely depressed if it doesn't make it
  5. such a hard topic and so many good ones have already been listed, but i'll try... BD - 2000 Bluecoats - 2005 Boston - 2000 Cadets - 1995/1987 Cavaliers - 2003 Crown - 2005 Crossmen - 1992 Glassmen - 1999 Scouts - 1999 Star - 1990 Phantom - 1995 SCV - 2003 i don't exactly feel comfortable listing only one year for each corps
  6. they made the move to div 1 last year and will remain as such this year
  7. i figure this as good a place as any to post this, seeing as how no music has been listed for criminal. a little sneak-peak i suppose first draft from the ohio campers. http://youtube.com/watch?v=thjuViFIzaI&mode=related&search=
  8. i too hear very good things about the colts and, more recently, the troopers, and i'm sure there are many others.
  9. i think it was, indeed, a joke but i suppose we'll have to wait and see.
  10. i believe they are actually saying "go hector". he marched euph the past couple seasons
  11. wow. that's incredible...i'd enjoy an evening with their design team.
  12. Avon Lawrence Central Carmel Tarpon Springs Kennesaw Mountain The Woodlands L.D. Bell PCEP Marian Catholic Churchill Broken Arrow James Bowie the list is in a random order. interesting turnout! should be an amazing finals.
  13. wow...that's really, really tragic...
  14. i still don't see where anyone went too far
  15. another great night in the dome for sure. had marcus in first also. they move so well (difficulty is debateable) and played with an extremely mature, well-balanced sound. bell did it to me again tonight. i was PRAYING they would bust out their "tag" ending with the time restrictions gone in finals, but alas... i had no idea where duncanville would place. i figured it would be high as they tend to jump people you wouldn't always expect. great night for all bands.
  16. ah, gotcha. and to reiterate what others and myself said earlier, Cedar Park sounded infreakingcredible! It seemed to me as maybe Churchill didn't have their best performance for finals? maybe it was just me. I also wasn't too keen on the musical arrangements. they played fine, i just don't think the show was arranged to really show them off. that was the first time i'd seen them, though. maybe another read is necessary.
  17. "We" being Marcus since they won GE i'm assuming, and you also somehow watched yourself perform in finals?
  18. i too was surprised bowie did not make finals...as were many...hmmm
  19. that seriously blew me away. what a brilliant way to end the show. seriously, i was in awe. completely and utterly blown the heck away.
  20. bell was indeed incredible from the get-go. such raw emotion displayed. i was one of the awe-struck finals' onlookers, and i can tell you there wasn't a sound being made in the audience by the end. i didn't know whether to stand up and applaud or soak it all in and let the moment just take me. amazing stuff. congrats to them. and i have to give a shout out to cedar park. i thought their sound was absolutely incredible. extremely pure, lush sounds coming from 'em. it was a great night all-around.
  21. wow! texas kids are getting the royal treatment this year. good stuff.
  22. wow! news to me. interesting, though....
  23. i've NEVER heard of a corps allowing auditionees to bring woodwinds to an audition. maybe i've missed something. anyhow! if you are interested in drum corps, definitely pick up something, be it brass, colorguard, or percussion. i marched next to a mellophone who was originally a flute player, and a couple original sax players. woodwind players definitely CAN make it in the world of drum corps. as far as which route, i would focus on brass or guard were i an interested woodwind player. just my $.02 good luck!
