To all out in the band world, I apologize for my pier. Please just ignore this person's post. I was gonna post a long flame but decided it would be better not to air my dirty laundry. I've sent this person a private message, it's been delt with. Please ignore and move on. Again I offer my apologies to everyone. This is not representitive of us by any means. Every band has their "tard kid". -
No you shouldn't have. You're gonna regret it BIG TIME in 47 years. Trust me. What kind of meat does Taco Bell use?

Has a long list of sweet percussion awards. -
Because you are a modern Mozart in finding your way around the house. Let's not forget that the average person takes an average of 5 years to find his way around the house seemlessly. Who are your favorite "find their way around the house"ers of all time? I personally like Bethohomen, Joseph Housedyn, and Igor Stravinavigator.

If you go for help. But alas, you will never go...... =) Out of tune bassoons, or out of tune oboes??? BUWAHAHAHA!

That's awesome. I wish our feeder schools would get some of their stuff together. It's time. -

There aren't any out. Unless somebody from another school taped it. Once I get my BOA dvd, I'll probably put it on Youtube. =) -
Injuries

This girl trombone player in our band popped here knee our while marching. I did the exact same thing playing baseball so I could empathize. What really impressed me was she ended up marching at the competition that we had that weekend with a big bulky brace on. It kept here from bending her knee. She had the straightest leg of the whole night. =) Haha. -
Uniforms
BassoonPadwan replied to MaverickBand15's topic in Everything Music: Marching, Concert, Auditions and more
Bowie's uniform has been my favorite for a while. Some other uniforms I think are cool are CP's, and Pflugerville's new one(They're sweeeet)! Somebody posted those Pasadena Memorial uniforms....... wow. Those are amazing. Personally, I don't like uniforms with sashs(sp?). I'm not sure why though...... We're getting new uniforms next year too! w00t~! If they get the ones that we were supposed to get this year, they are going to be sweeeeeeeet X infinity^2. When we got the "prototype" and it was modeled by one of our members, I nearly came on the ceiling. lol I won't give anything else away except they are the complete opposite of what we have now, which is a good thing. I'm excited for them. Also, I love the type of hats that the Cavaliers have. Those are great. I heard though that if you're not like 6 feet tall, they make you look short. Is that true? ~Ramos -
I'm going to expand on this a little bit. But I can't edit for some reason so here's another post: The crowd any day of the week. That's who you're there for, you're putting on a show. If I played a show that got perfect scores from the judges but none of the crowd dug it, then what's the point? I'm there to share with people this gift of music, to hopefully touch people with the passion that I have, to experience WITH them this great thing. I want people to walk out of that place better somehow than when they came in. And of course I'd be disappointed if I didn't achieve 100% percent of my potential, that means I cheated myself and someone else that I may never see again out of something better. Of course I care what the audience thinks, if I didn't, I wouldn't be performing in front of them in the first place, and I might as well stay in a practice room my whole life. At the same time, I am satisfied if I know I gave it my all and I do what I love doing. And also at the same time, my happiness doesn't hinge completely on what other people think. My happiness comes from inside myself and not as a result of the world around me. There are some people you just can't get to, and to them I say you go your separate way and I'll go mine. This is kind of difficult to explain this mindset. At least for me at the current moment. lol I think you should have both sides of the coin. It's a zen kinda thing. ~Ramos

Marching only affects school if you don't manage your time well. I've always been real bad about managing my time, so yeah, it has affected me. But that's only 'cause I let it. I'm getting better though... For anybody who is going into music, I've been told that time management is a biggie. Anybody else have this problem?
