Hey thanks guys for thinking we can do it. It really means a lot. We're working hard, we'll try to make you guys proud! And help make Texas reagionals the best there are. =) As for dark horses, I think Georgetown is going to do farely well, and is good choice for a finals prediction.

Hey man! Great topic! I think a lot of people could benefit from a topic like this! I think you should ABSOLUTELY have a talk with this other section "leader". Have a little man to man with him. Show him what's up. That's YOUR job as a leader. Hey I'm going to add a way longer reply to this because this really hits home, and I have a lot to say about respect, etc.' But for now because I don't have time I'll leave you with this that you can apply right away~ From one leader to another, Don't EVER lose your composure! Anger is a weak emotion. Don't be weak. Think about it, if you're someone who gets angy a lot, it means things are out of your control! People understand this, sometimes consciously sometimes not, but all the time unsciously. People want to follow people who have it together. They don't want to follow someone that when things aren't going right, they throw a fit(either outward to other people OR inward to themselves). Be the person who is cool under pressure. Be the person who DEALS WITH THINGS. He doesn't get angry. He get's things done. But he IS stern when he has to be. He'll discipline. He has a job to do. You will respect him. In my opinion, you must be positive too. You're the leaders, the foundation, the safety net that people rely on. You need to be this well of positive energy that people can thrive off of. Be the source of fun when called for. That's the reason you took and were chosen for this position over anybody else. I hope this all makes sense, I wrote it in a hurry. I'll be back to elaborate and add my two cents on respect, value, and non-senior leaders a little later. Hope you get this worked out. Keep strong! Don't succumb to the "plague"!! He he.

I would hire Chuck Norris to measure. He would think of a random number, and NO MATTER what number he comes up with.......... it would automatically be RIGHT! Because he's Chuck Norris. If all the bands at BOA San Antonio got into a huge brawl, Anchorman style, who would come out victorious??

Haha. Thanks chickora! This is how I see it. Life's too short NOT to be friendly. If you think back to the past 5 years, most likely it feels like no time at all has passed. Well this is how the next five years will feel like, and the five after that..... and then your whole life has passed by in no time! You suddenly realize that there is no time to waste, and life is all about living, loving, having fun, and accomplishing goals. And all the rest is crap. Didn't mean to go off on that but it's something I feel strongly about. He He He. Ps. This mindset is another thing I have gotten out of band! Wooo! Sidenote~ I can't wait for BOA! Ahhhh!!

Hey I feel ya on that one! I totally know where you are coming from. And I'm assuming you're still in band. Our class of 07 was phenomenal! I quickly realized though that that line of thinking was doing me NO GOOD! I don't know about you, but I don't want to rely on other people my whole life. And I quickly realized, that we ALL achieved what we had achieved. Not just class of 07. I had to step up. And maybe it was a little later than I would have liked, but better late than never. If you're feeling like their could be better leadership, then that thought came to you for a reason. That leadership must be YOU. Class of 07 stepped up and got it done. It's time for you to do the same. This is something that I am going through as well. I hope that you can find your way. Good luck and have fun! =) Hey great job everyone at Westlake! I'm so happy that I was able to see quite a few bands! Great job to Bowie! I saw both their prelims and finals performance, and they sure deserved to win! Their were moments where I was totally captivated by what they were doing. Awesome guys!

Hey guys! I just wanna say I love you guys so much! Thanks for making Texas bands what they are! Y'all have changed my life! Indirectly, of course, since I've only met a number of you.... lol Here's how it breaks down: Texas bands rock(you guys =])= Tough competition= My band aspires hang with the best of them= Awesome band program= Some of the most positive life changing years of my life= Thank you! Crap. It's sucks being rained out. lol We were so pumped! The anticipation, here we go! We enter the stadium...... chins up, eyes with pride, we march across the field....... we try our best to keep straight legs, high toes....... anticipation....... concetration is INTENSE, we hear the crowd, the fire in the belly is bolstering more than ever, we march to set 1, we know what's coming...... anticipation.... we get to our marks, staring up at the judges, each of us making intense eye contact with them, we're ready to put it all out there, all the hard work over the months..... anticipation....... here it comes! the CLIMAX OF MAR.. OUCH! MY EYE! Was that a rain drop? *commence torrential downpour* RUN! THE EQUIPMENT! lol

Things that freakin' rock! ~ Contest season starting!

We might be going to this. They told us we would be able to get in if we chose to go....... The thing is, we're scheduled to go to BOA next week....... but we perform at 8:00am. First. Doh! We have a game on Friday the night before so we're not sure about how we're going to get therej. And if we do go how well we would do without much sleep and all the craziness..... So either this or BOA. It's up in the air. Our directors will tell us their decision tomorrow. If we end up going to Mesquite, I'll see y'all there! =D
