  1. Who cares, people are too pretentious on band forums... There is nothing wrong with asking what people thought of your performance.
  2. Rowlett out, Sachse in. Duncanville Berkner Coppel Sachse
  3. UNT Will be competing for the first time since 2002 in the marching competition. Phantom Regiment Will be doing a clinic.
  4. One of my good friends and colleagues just flew in from Florida for a few days to do some choreography with the Hebron band. When he showed me what the kids were going to be doing I was pretty impressed. The brass and wookwinds are doing some legit modern dance. It is also really creepy, which is what the show is shaping up to be I guess. Hebron is making a name for themselves with all this aggressive body moverment the bast couple of years. Also, has anyone noticed the Rockwell/Micheael Jackson quote in the closer? "I get the feeling that Somebody's watchin me" Thought that was clever. Anyway, cool show Hebron, looking foward to seeing it progress in the next few weeks.
  5. The caption awards were taken from prelims scores. Hebron was 2nd overall in prelims and didn't win any captions. In finals, they placed first in a couple captions and took 1st.
  6. Ummm.....The pit was one of the best sections of the 2007 corps. They were the fuel throughout the entire show, and played an incredibly difficult book really well. A they were also not composed of complete rookies. In fact, the pit had the highest percentage of members with previous corps experience, 80% having marched before. The Crossmen pit had 3 members from the 2006 Crossmen, 1 from 2006 Carolina Crown, and 4 from various division 2 corps. Only 2 had never marched drum corps before. The pit (and battery) was the most consistent section in the Crossmen, as is evident by the relatively high percussion scores all season. You are wrong on basically every level. Get your facts straight, bud.
  7. Grand Champion - Seguin They also won all the captions. Any one have the scores/other placements? But congrats to former consistent BOA finalist Seguin. After two rough years, the band is back on its feet under the direction of their new director, Mark Buley. Its good to see and old powerhouse winning again.
  8. A school in NEISD will be losing a director. I'm not gonna go into detail until it is announced though.
  9. I decided to start a thread about director changes for 2007, because there seems to be alot already. Seguin's Head band director (since 2001) Steve Mc Keithen put in his resignation last week.
  10. http://www.yea.org/site/News2?page=NewsArt...ws_iv_ctrl=1003 Select spots still open in the brass section - Trumpet Mellophones Baritones The corps is having a great winter, and things are shaing up nicely with their 2007 program, "metamorphosis." Dont miss this chance! I've been to the past few camps, and the show is incredible! Unlike anything you've ever heard! Dont miss this chance!
