That was Little Cypress-Mauriceville's first time to EVER make finals at State. In the past they have came close multiple times but either lost the tiebreaker or was one point behind like in 2016.

Any new last minute predictions?

I wasn't there either, but from the judging sheet LCM was 2nd in prelims which really supprised me. Also when you look at the prelim sheet it also kinda shows how Paris was able to jump 3 spots. 1 judge gave Paris a 12 which really stuck out.

Looks like 2 bands advanced to state from region 10 this year!! Is there anyway to find out if this is a record for the region? I was so heartbroken for BC... I was really hopping all 3 could make it.

I still think it's so crazy that last year Region 10 was hit so hard by Hurricane Harvey. Lcm had to have both the junior high bands share part of the highschool band hall for most of the year, and the kids only had half days because the junior high kids had to go to school at the highschool since both Jr. Highs flooded. And I know there is a photo from Lumberton where you can see a stop sign underwater from a boat and it went viral because of how shocking it was to see the water that high. I am really proud of Region X for bouncing back this year!

I have watched all 3 of the "Big 3" from Region 10 (Little Cypress, Lumberton and Bridge City) and I have to say I really like both Little Cypress and Lumberton's show this year. I wasant really impressed with Bridge City's show, but I watched it last week and they couldn't practice much because the rain recently. I find it funny, I think both Lumberton and Little Cypress have the sound of silence in their show's. I didnt really like Lumberton's opener but I loved the rest of the show. The ending is amazing! Little Cypress's show is kinda a weird show design, but if they can execute then they should be good. Area C will be quite interesting, but sadly I wont be able to make it this year. Side note, Bridge City is still a REALLY strong band as all of the "Big 3" from region 10 are, I just find the show lacking the wow factor compared to Lumberton and Lcm's. Bridge city has executed really well in the past, so they are NOT down for the count.

Maybe this is a little biased because I go to this school, but little Cypress Mauriceville band is looking preety good from region 10. . Also Bridge City (also from region 10) is also looking really good.

bad performance from region but when done right like on area finals little cypress mauriceville marching band is on point preforming the rite of spring
