i know that. it's just that kind of stuff ALWAYS turns into, "yeah they were better than so and so..." i'll just keep my mouth shut next time... it's the moderators job to deal with that stuff anyway. -

most bands DO practice more than eight hours. there are a lot of 'loopholes' and things to where on a week with a contest a band could easily get more than ten. but, more than eight practice hours is a LOT... so i get where you're coming from. i honestly think that's asking the kids to do too much, considering they are there for SCHOOL... there's my two cents. -

that sounds more like band hallway chat rather than public forum question... just personal opinion. -

that so reminds me of marcus last year... 730 performance time at BOA sa. hopefully you'll give the judges a reason(good) to NOT drink their coffee. -

the alamodome is a trick. i personally don't like it. it's too bright in finals... i never really got that 'under lights' feeling. -

sorry. i meant this year... should have been more specific. -
well seeing as the name of the thread is 'best bandS in the state', they aren't really out of line to add bowie, cus they are/should be on that list(didn't they finish second in some super regional thing some time, lol). who cares if they add it themselves, everyone esle thinks it... though i see that pretty much IS self hype. just one of those things. bowie's geRRate! good luck with the rest of the season.

their show last year was really cool. i haven't seen this year's though... i wanted to see it at arlington, but the person i went with couldn't find uta(even though he lives in arlington, the meatball). so, i missed them, but thankfully i got there just in time to see marcus... otherwise i would have been very angry, lol. but i get to see pretty much EVERYBODY this weekend, so that'll be nice

Marching Basoon
MRS. IaN KiNSLeR replied to the_DRUM_MAJOR's topic in Everything Music: Marching, Concert, Auditions and more
it's not a bad thing. i give mad props to anyone who can play it, because i just don't feel comfortable playing it AT ALL. -
Marching Basoon
MRS. IaN KiNSLeR replied to the_DRUM_MAJOR's topic in Everything Music: Marching, Concert, Auditions and more
basoon is just a goofy instrument. i can barely sit and play the thing(too big). i don't think marching basoon works(judging by the picture). -

would i be correct to say that reagan and marcus are the only two to both win their area and compete in BOA finals?
