  1. We have some: Obviously the lovely "parallelogram"...now known as a rhombus.... Picasso fish Lawnmower of death
  2. Our homecoming game is Oct. 5 with the dance the next day. GRRRR SAT!!!! Anyway, our band nominees usually make it to the final five but never win. Our game is against Ellison.
  3. Ours is called Dark Desert Highway. "The Highway" "Gabriel's Oboe" "Hotel California" I'm looking forward to it.
  4. Our freshmen camp starts July 28th or 29th, but that only lasts two days. After that, everybody else is back and ready.
  5. The Pflugerville kids are pretty amazing, but I think Bryan High and a few others have pretty cool kids. It's hard to beat a lot of crazy kids like us from a school like ours. Not that all of you aren't amazing as well though!
  6. It's with a heavy and completely broken heart that I have to say. Mr. Ralph Michael Hardy will be leaving Bryan High School to take the head band director position and Midway High School. *sigh* I'm going to miss him.
  7. Yes, deepest congratulations to those that made drum major this year! I found out today that I am head drum major this year, and I am super pumped. I can't wait to meet some of you in competition. (I'll be one of the shorter drum majors---from Bryan.)
  8. We still don't have our show music as of yet. Our directors haven't even decided on what it's going to be. *sigh* Waiting is so hard. I'm ready to start now!!!
  9. We have audtions on Monday for DM. I was one this past year, but nerves still don't wear off. It's going to be crazy. The competition is crazy, and a guy from the drumline is auditioning (hardly ever happens). Hopefully I'll get it!!!!
  10. I'm also kind of sad about it, but I'm definitely excited! I'm expecting good things from out band this year (despite so many quitting), and it will be the best year ever because I'M A SENIOR!!!!!
  11. Bring it on! I am so ready for this marching season, and I'll be a senior. MWAHAHAHAHA!!!! Bow to the power! JK!
  12. NYC trip&concert, spring concert, drum major auditions, color guard auditions, cleaning, band banquet...etc. etc. We basically get ready for the next year and try to have a little fun along the way.
  13. NYC!!!!!! Next Thursday-Monday
  14. We usually find out a few days after auditions if we made it or not. It kind of keeps you guessing because my freshmen year they did it the day after auditions, and last year they took about three days or so. Anyway, we have to "audition" for President and Vice-President of band, but they're by votes. It's interesting to have the band hall covered in flyers.
  15. It is like 2/4, so you're right. I'm trying out too. I was drum major this year, but that doesn't make me any less nervous. There are some people with great potential trying out this year.
  16. I voted clarinet and not just because it's what i play. I honestly like the sound of them the most.
  17. Here's our show. Bryan High School: -Vesuvius - The Loch - Firedance
  18. Our show is going fairly well. A lot of our band is freshmen, and most of them are doing pretty good. Anyway, we're getting almost all of our closer on the field this week. At least, that's the plan. We have contest in two weeks.
  19. I'm from Bryan High, and I know that we're registered and going. I know a few bands that are going, and there are definitely good ones going.
  20. Our band directors assign us to a bus. There are senior, junior, sophmore, and freshmen busses. If one bus (except the last one) isn't completely filled, then people get moved onto the next bus depending on how much room is left. Last year, the bus I was on wasn't filled up enough, so we had a lot of freshmen on our bus.
  21. They are the best because...dunno. Why do fools fall in love?
  22. We're marking sets, and a few freshmen are having a hard time understanding how to find their spots. I've tried a few things, but it doesn't seem to be helping. It would really help if anybody had a few suggestions on how to help them. Thanks.
  23. Ours is the tiger band from College Station. When I was a clarinet, the trumpets were kind of a rival. Now that I'm drum major, my rival is...nobody in band.
  24. No I'm not. Are you getting ready for bed?
  25. It sort of depends on what aspect you're talking about. Playing wise it's probably the trumpets right now. Marching it either has to be the clarinets or maybe the tenor saxes. Percussion is good at both. It's kind of hard to tell right now who will be the best.
