I also wish Westwood luck, but also agree that the show was very slow paced, which you will see that most bands in finals have very high paced shows except Marcus. -

I love the concept of the show it is well thought out and the music is arranged very uniquely. It's gonna be close! -

It will be interesting to see if Westwood will out perform Cedar Ridge Musically, if they do they have a real shot at finals. -

No matter What all bands that you would consider "bubble" will have to out perform cedar ridge to make finals, Cedar Ridge's show last year wasn't on anyone's radar and they were in the top 10. -

My Data set has them there if I do a plus or minus .8 than it will be Round Rock or Wakeland. However, it is very tight between 15-20 so it is really anyone's guess. -

If Leaner does move down then 5A would be extremely competitive, for years Cedar Park, Dripping Springs, and Vandy (before they moved up) held on to the purse strings. As a lot more districts invest in their bands we will see a fight for first place. For example, 6A has many great groups and finally after so many years we see a band not from the Dallas suburbs win. I think we will be see alot of that in the next coming state competitions.

It will be interesting to see large jumps in placements, which rarely happens. If Westwood does make finals it will be jumping from 33 the previous year ending with mid-80 score. I predict this year they have a real shot at cracking 90. However, no other trends have been broken this year, all bands seem to be in similar places leading up to San Antonio. Cedar Ridge And CTJ are hard to predict and may throw in a curve ball. And getting to see Cedar Park live and in action was amazing and is really hard to see them missing finals. I am very excited to be watching finals in person this year !!! -

I would not be surprised to see Keller get in the top 10. I loved their drill design it always fits perfectly with the concept of the show. No matter what I expect to see both Bowie and Keller in finals. -

I agree with this perspective, groups that perform to the judges and create clean shows will have a much better chance at making finals. That is not to say that fan favorite's don't have a chance, but they will need to be sure to perform their best. Bowie is a legend and they know how to perform, which gives them an edge. -

Cedar Ridge and Bowie might push 90-91 range. However, it depends on how the judges range the scale of competition. I predict that all finalist will be in the 90 (of course) -
I always thought that that would be a thing.....squares, lines, circles!

Schedule change is also interesting, in the second block Westwood needs to perform close to or better than Cedar Ridge who will once again be the bar. -

It is very interesting, CTJ and Cedar Ridge tend to sit out mid season till San Antonio making them unpredictable. Evidence proves however that they always farewell at San Antonio. They never had any stalls in scoring proving that they are still a threat. -

Wakeland landed at 20-23 on my list, almost making it. To be honest the most competition will be between 12-20. -

After today and two weeks away! Bands that will no doubt make finals: Flower Mound Ronald Reagan Vandergrift CTJ Hebron Leander Vista Ridge The Woodlands Other potential finalist Marcus:...nothing to say other than it would be hard to see them missing finals. James Bowie: a group that always seems to be up or down! however don't count them out just yet their Waco victory over Keller proves why they are a legend in marching band. They have been a a group that has always been respected and might just grab one of those honored finals slot's. Keller: Musically, they are superior than Bowie in finals it proved to be correct. I was actually shocked they came in second in music in the prelims. They just need alot more cleaning, when was the last time they didn't make finals at SA BOA? I would be shocked if they miss this time around. Cedar Ridge: A group that is always absent from everyone's radar! They rarely perform at contest except Austin and San Antonio or those rare showings in Conroe. But don't be fooled they always outperform expectations, they need a little cleaning visually but there is still two weeks to go so keep a slot for them on your prediction list. L.D. Bell: That 89.20 at St. Louis is going to be hard to over look, this group is on the verge of a massive comeback. We will see in two or three years where they land at this contest, I would love to see them surprise a lot of people. Number 14: This is so hard because one would think Cedar Park, because they are so clean and precise. However, Rouse seem's to be doing better in GE than their rival. It all depends on who has the better performance. I would personally love to see Westwood snag this slot because they just seem so incredible this year. No matter what there are about 25 bands that deserve to make finals. It could be a total shake up! we never know what will happen. -
Hendrickson, had one of the weirdest designed show's today. They still sounded and looked amazing, I am with y'all and think they withdrew from finals. They were one of my favorites today.

This has to be one of the largest stadiums used for a regional.
-
Keller will be hard to beat they are musically stunning and visual is so clean. They will be a lock for San Antonio.

it will be an interesting line up at nationals, I have a feeling that it will be extremely competitive this year. To be honest, I was not a fan of last years nationals, I felt that Avon tried their best to put on a Carmel show and I am used to them being a lot more daring and out of the box. Vandergrift seems to be aiming for technique with a show that seems to be more traditional style. While Leander seem's to be my favorite designed show this year. The Woodlands is also performing a show that reminds me of their 2012 show which is pretty surprising, giving that they are going to nationals this year.
