Westwood might be in finals this year. Very GE type show. Christmas is my favorite holiday, reminds me of bowie 2011.

What was interesting was that the first block seemed to be the hardest to gage. Cedar Ridge coming out on Top in my opinion. However, Rouse could be a finalist hard to tell.

As the day goes on the more I feel like we will be seeing a constant finalist find themselves out of finals. This contest is insane!

I wouldn't necessarily say that it hurts them. However, if you look back bands with dance teams usually have lower GE. It depends on if that dance team does flags or rifle's. Vandegrift is one of the best bands that has a dance team, so its hard to pin point another example.

My Top 4 Vandegrift making a shot for the eagle... they are outstanding this early in the season, making classical music as their signature. Leander ready to fight and prove they won't be forgotten anytime soon...and toxic by Britney, dang! This is one of my favorite's this season. Vista Ridge the reigning state champion just came out of nowhere, they will be a force later this season. They have made a lasting impression with their show design's always on point! Cedar Ridge....they are like a Marcus with more diverse music selection. They use technical skill to make finals.This Band could one day win, I think they are waiting for the right moment to strike.

Flower Mound is the one to beat they are by far the most well-rounded group of the prelims.

Vista Ridge is stunning I am surprised that this is the same band from the years before, they seem focused and confident.

hey no point trying to be too crazy, I play it safe.

Also, remember that this contest is very technical and the judges will be very picky about who makes it to finals. I have heard many amazing bands today but tone quality, resonance, control, clarity, and mastery of technical difficulty will be left to the experts who are the judges to decide.

I will predict the champions of some of the Area Contest will make it Flower Mound Ronald Reagan The Woodlands Vista Ridge Waxahachie

If that is the case it would be hard to see them making finals, but you never know.

To my knowledge, this is their first time at the state contest, not really sure.

John Horn That is interesting, its been a while since a relatively unknown band made finals at the state contest, it would be a real shocker.

It will be interesting to see who from Area F will advance besides The Woodlands, North Shore made it last time but Oak Ridge is a Strong Contender this time around.

This contest is hard to predict, we know that it would be difficult for bands from Area's I, G, and A to be in finals. Area E's champion Pearland might be the only one from that area able to advance.

I wish them luck to hopefully they have a great time and enjoy themselves.
