  1. Thank's a lot of people really like them. At first I didn't like them because I thought that they would look ugly. But now they have grown on me. I don't know if I have seen any other uniforms like ours. And yes we do have an 8 man snare line. I'm a TUBA though, wish we had more of those only eight total, but four that can really play. Georgetown your uniforms are cool I like the difference between the Drum Majors and the Regular Members.
  2. It was hosted by the Birdville Band Booster I believe (Richland, Haltom, and Birdville). Birdville did perform in exhibition. They aren't as good as I remember being in years past. No offense to that group at all. I thought they used to bigger as well.
  3. Those aren't bad uniforms I actually like them.
  4. Is anyone going to write a review?
  5. I don't know if I like Reagan's new uniforms? I would need to see a full view of the uniform before I made my opinion. Westfield's I do like though. The gold however I think should be silver. Marcus also got new uniforms this season. I like their drum major uniforms, however I don't like the buttons around the shoulders on the regular uniforms it makes it look to tacky. Also incase anyone else was wondering we got new uniforms this season. I love them a lot. Pics of CHHS' new uniforms can be found on our website www.chhspantherband.org > Then click on the percussion link, pics should be at the top of that page. Sorry such a long post.
  6. What did everyone think of this year's competition? Finals, Prelims, Captions, Anything in general.
  7. Thank you for the nice comments Xenon. You are one of the very few people that I have heard that understand the ending of our show. Yes transistions were better this week than they have ever been but still need work. That was our whole show on the field yesterday, now we just need to clean the drill and add new some new features which I won't disclose(as far as what they are) they will make the show better though and more understandable. Thanks again for the comments.
  8. Xenon, what did you think of Colleyville Heritage's show this week?
  9. I didn't get a chance to go to the BOA Arlington Regional, but just from your review(even though only finals) it sounds like this was a great competition. Now I am really anxious to see Marcus' show with the review you left it sounds like their show may be the one to beat later in the season. Last year at the Birdville contest if I remember right Marcus didn't have their full show on the field, but even what they did have was amazing. Can't wait to see it this Saturday. Congrats, to all the bands that competed at the Arlington Regional look forward to seeing most of your shows through out the rest of the season, and good luck.
  10. THIS SATURDAY! ANYONE ELSE EXCITED?
  11. We sometimes do that but for UIL concert we listen to our performance and write constructive critcism.
  12. What was your show? Never mind I see above, never mind I don't think we saw your show because we didn't get there till the afternoon. I'm so sorry if I caused any confusion. The whole time I was talking about SGP. I'm so sorry rdzsaxplaya for confusion I wish I had seen your show though.
  13. Wait a minute I'm confused now were SGP and GP there?
  14. Like no other as in good? And what did you mean by every word of every judge?
  15. No i'm directing it to you sorry for any confusion
  16. Well best of luck to SGP for the rest of the season. And performing in the morning can be good and bad. Bad because yes you are first. But good because you can have a really good show and stick in the judges minds, and you also get to watch some really good bands after your performance. Like ours (just kidding), I really did like the concept of your show, and I know for a fact that it will get better as the season goes on.
  17. Great review Xenon. It was worth the wait. Will you be at the Birdville competition?
  18. I'm anxious to see Marcus' show this year they have a really good staff there, and I can't see why their show wouldn't be one of the better ones of the season. Can't wait till Birdville!!
  19. rdzsaxplaya, I saw your show I thought that it was a little bit hard for you guys at this point in the season, I did however think that SGP did better than some of the other bands there (no offense to them). Read Xenon's review of the contest he had some very good things to say about your performance, and everyone else's for that matter. Hopefully you guys weren't extremely disappointed in your performance, because there were many good things about it. Besides you guys still have plenty of time to make the show better. This was many of the bands first competitions of the year, and you must know that there were many good bands there that you could learn stuff from. Sorry for such a long post.
  20. They were performing in exhibition so I was just asking a question about logistics. I wasn't trying to be rude.
  21. I'm anxious to hear other people's opinions on our show. I like to know what other people think about our show (good or bad). I think PESH should have won but they had a better prelims performance than a finals performance.
  22. Warfact, your show was really good a lot of people that we were sitting around were impressed with the drill in your show myself included. Why did you guys just stand there at the end of your show a lot of people wanted to know what that was about. Recap: I think your music is really good and your show was good as well. Was it a complete show?
  23. Xenon, thank you for replying. I agree with everything you said and yes the whole show is a work in progress just like any other band's show. The transition that you were talking about with the woodwinds is still a work in progress we are trying to make the transition between movement 3 and 4 better. What did you think of the brass ensemble? -I was part of it the tuba standing right next to the baritones (if looking at field from audience).
