"Cleanliness is Next to Godliness" ps. Dear Travis , is this forum allowed to use animated gifs? Or is that deemed "inappropriate"? Because I know of what you and the other baritones do, Carnochan would be ShOcKeD! -

In general, I think this was the most competitive 4A year evar. Live, learn, breath, these moments of the 2011 season were so iconic. AKA the virgin sacrifice by Alice HS, a winning show sans props, the pressure to defend the title of a 4A champion etc, etc, -

I cannot believe Alice was left UNRECOGNIZED for a an ICONIC performance. The virgin sacrifice was the pivotal crux and LEGENDARY moment in 4A band history. It was both revolutionary, bold, daring, etc. -
so i just came back from the convention tonight...amazing jobs by call the state bands! The 5A symphonic band had one of THE MOST strongest performances yet...it was really SOLID, the 5a concert band had me at Give Us This Day...(Andy...you gotta get me a recording!) 4a band did very well, especially with their Mackey piece, their program was one of their strongest since 2006...and of course...symphony orchestra was AMAZING with their rendition of Mahler 1, the F Horns were one of the highlights of the evening, very strong and solid group this year.

I definitely miss the obsessive practicing and audition for the fall....i mean...it was an adrenaline rush...but yea...im sure you will advance to area andy. just be chill in the room...as for the others who are nervous....the banana thing...i dont know..lol...but i would just take deep breaths and play the first note for like 10 seconds....it also helps if you get to scope out the room to find the right reed to balance it.
