100% We don't need bad vibes in the marching band community. Good vibes is what has made it great. Opinions are typically jaded by bands you support. We shouldn't let that turn into criticism of other programs. We all know how hard each one of these bands worked regardless of whether they made a 1 or a 3 at UIL Region.

Or….Richland was just better.

You definitely want that post-lunch slot but that's a tough draw for BC. It won't affect them making finals but may affect their placement slightly...maybe a shuffle in the top 4-5. Advantage Aledo and Richland

I really hate this for these kids. Especially the seniors. I also saw on hornranks that Leander recently lost their booster president? Just horrible. I don’t want this kind of news heading into this competition. Check that…I don’t want this kind of news EVER! Holding many many good thoughts out to all of these kids, directors and band parents.

Football has a state competition every year and, as we all know, band is better than football so it only makes sense to have it every year!

And Richland 3rd and Brewer 4th Brewer’s brass is amazing! That band’s made a leap. Richland may be returning to their pre-Covid form. Heritage is consistently solid but Aledo is probably going to be the standard bearer in this Area for a while

I know nothing about Blue Valley SW so I was looking at their site. They don't have Waco on their calendar. I hope they haven't dropped this contest! I love seeing out of state bands at regionals.

These kids keep a brutal schedule and I'm always amazed at their resilience. Back in 2017, I was watching the Prosper band as they were making a big rise in the ranks...I had a friend with a couple of kids in their band. Within two weeks, they went to BOA San Antonio, the State competition a few days later and then went to Grand Nats in Indianapolis. I've seen our kids have killer schedules but nothing like that.
