  1. As I think over the past few year, notably CTJ last year, Marcus in 2012 and Bell in 2011, I feel like emotion has won out over precision or "cleverness". That makes sense as the activity is about effecting the audience (General Effect... Duh). I think this year it's a three horse race for the top between FloMo, Hebron, and Reagan. Those show have the emotional impact that the "clever" shows like Leander, or the precise shows like Marcus don't have (at least not as much). Obviously that's all my opinion, but it seems to be the way things have gone in the recent past.
  2. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSUMfjxOKwpIGGFvfeCJCag This channel has a lot of good stuff... Round Rock from their UIL... Ronald Reagan and Vista Ridge from TMC...
  3. Maybe I'm in the minority (it appears that I am). But I don't love that green, or the leaf design. I think it will be one of those ideas that was better in theory than in practice. I think that pick of the jacket already looks cluttered and messy and the green may wash them out a little with a football field underneath their feet (possibly intentionally). Just my opinion, but I prefer their old unis.
  4. I love the music in Cedar Parks show. I think they are really trying to come out on top of the LISD shuffle at state this year. I would t be surprised if UIL likes them better than Leander, they have such a rich sound. As for BOA SA, the highlight of what I've seen is Reagans opening hit and their ballad. I saw them at the TMC and WOW they sounds amazing. Plus the end of their show had a MILLION girls on the field with swing flags... Incredible
  5. I think this is a great decision by Bell and Churchill. While Tarpon is one of the best there is, Atlanta is a lot less deep than SA. Those two groups could have a much better end result to their season by traveling to Atlanta. Good way to gear the kids up for a nationals run (like Churchill), or to get back up on the top of their game.
  6. 1. Reagan 2. Flower mound 3. Hebron 4. CTJ 5. Marcus 6. Woodlands 7. Round Rock 8. Bowie 9. Leander 10. Cedar Park 11. Vandegrift 12. Owasso 13. Vista Ridge 14. Hendrickson Reagan sounds amazing. Their ballad is one of the best I've ever seen. And their singer is the best I've ever heard in marching band (cedar ridge from a few years ago is the only one even comparable). I haven't seen any of the dfw bands so I can only go off what I've heard from Arlington, but Reagan's show is the best I've seen in years.
