How is the order of prelims determined?

I can't help but imagine what a competition it would have been had Marcus been there. Nevertheless, congrats to Bell!!!!

I'm new to the BOA scene and wanted to ask: How does a band get into the Grand Nationals? Is there some sort of qualification standard, or can they just enter? I just assumed that the top placements @ San Antonio would be going. Obviously not.

I really enjoy your website but there were omissions and incorrect information on your predictions page: Northwest placed 8th in finals @ TOC yet they were not even in the list of participating schools. And then ... At the Aledo Unleash the Sound contest: The results listed on your prediction page were actually the results of the preliminaries. I know it's the Birdville thread but rolexdude posted the line-up for Birdville and it included Northwest. I was just making the correction ... and got carreid away. Sorry.

That list was the bands that made finals. However, I do know that Northwest moved up and finished 8th in the finals over G'vine and Centennial. I'm guessing Wylie won it -- they were very good. Was anyone from TxBands there to review it? Probably not since the heavy hitters were @ Birdville. ;(
