Ugh, I hated how one of the winter drumline judges commented about "musical theatre" or something like that. I understand the concept of telling a story but excitement, difficulty, intensity...those rank above for me, well, most of the time.

Yes, we did. I have to say that is probably my favorite memory EVER:) This contest was so different, though. I mean, usually Taft and Marshall go to finals together. we're like buddies;) Heh. Northside is so huge, it's a surprise we don't just have our own Area already! Just kidding, of course

Area 2006 was a very interesting contest. I remember crying because I was so mad at the thought we'd miss out on state again. Anybody hear of Area E 2004?

Of course, I am not authorized to make statements for the band, but I noticed there were things that were not problems before.

Man, we all miss Mr.Meza + I never ended up being in the Ram Band like i was supposed to be lol:)

Sharyland - i know they'll pull ahead after the upset from 2006. SA Taft - not just because it's my alma mater but because the show is pretty cool and pretty clean. Harlingen - always a great band! i'm never disappointed when i see these guys Harlingen South - same as Harlingen Donna - consistent area finalists & they sound well overall Hannah - i like the sound of the show Edinburg North - Christmas show is unusual but I hear it's been working out for them

I really don't think the UIL system is THAT bad...I like that UIL judges for accuracy, precision, & execution, whereas it seems like BOA judges mostly for show. And while that should count, it shouldn't be EVERYTHING...

Non-Varsity and SUB Non-Varsity read the same level. At least for 5-A.

Altos-The worst at everything. every year one alto guy comes out of the closet. its like a tradition.lol. HaHa")

mine definitely had to be either the prep-talk before finals at uil area where i was crying like a big baby or listening to the results for who made it to state, where i was also crying like an even bigger baby:D i was sitting there + at area two years ago, we came in one place away from state + it crushed me so i was sitting there waiting to hear we got alternate, maybe 6th + then MAYBE 5th...i kept crying with everything the lady announced + i saw these girls praying in front of me. i was like, "that is pointless. there is no way we made anything higher than 5th place"... then the announcer said, "in fourth place, qualifying for state is...[insert 7 second pause] William Howard Taft" omg, i jumped up screaming + crying!! it was the best time of my life, literally. i was so overwhelmed + it was like 10,000 memories of how much i pushed myself, others pushed, how hard things got, etc. its like all that ran through my head + it was just like "WHOA" lol...dorky?? heck yeaa but i still get all excited when i think about it + i have it on my cell phone when they announced us:D

i`m on cymbal line + it`s different than other ones you see...there is a lot to it + i like doing cymbals. i know a little bit of bass drum, too + even though i`m not a natural percussionist or whatever, i have to go for them. sorry brass")

Nooooo i liked taking school off to go!! it seems more fun when we get to go out after that, lol but i do see what you`re saying...i plan to have Tuesdays or whatever days off when i work so i can go watch the state contest

although i`d luv to see area every year and not have a short marching season for the off-years [which will be my senior year "( ], i feel like it wouldn`t be as special. it just means more to me that we make it to state and everything if i only get a shot or two at it. that`s my two cents")

Can you buy the video from somewhere?? i didn`t have money to order it at State but i can order it now...does anybody know how??
