    My top 3 after prelims: Hebron - Music, GE marcus - Visual Flower Mound All 3 were stellar in their own right, I just wasn’t super wowed by Flower Mound when compared to the other 2. I won’t be surprised if they win prelims based on how early the other 2 went, but I think that the prelims placements will change tonight.

    I always love Coppell’s shows and this one is no exception. Awesome job! This is another show I think has the potential to do pretty well at UIL.

    Wakeland’s show is clearly very UIL focused, but dang is it very clean! They perform very well. We will for sure see them in finals, though I could see GE being a potential hindrance to their placement.

    Are the 2 soloists for Marcus both Mellos? Also their drill is STUNNING!! I am in love with their diagonals!

    I could not imagine performing a show like that at 9:30 in the morning, let alone doing as good as they did. Nothing short of spectacular. I’m sure their finals run will be a lot cleaner just because of how much later in the day it’ll be. This show is going to do well at UIL as well.

    I just found the video of Hebron from last week. They seemingly have almost all of their show on the field. Definitely think they have a decent chance of winning. Certainly a good shot at the music caption. This may be one of the strongest Hebron shows from a GE standpoint since “Sculpt”.

    May be slightly off topic, but there is a livestream from Avon's football game last night and you can see and somewhat hear what they are doing. Seems to be a legitimate show paying homage to the past decade of their shows (closer from 2010 and opener from 2013, drill reference from 2015, props from 2019, etc. ). Really sad it won't be at competitions because it was absolutely great to watch

    Vandegrift was good, but I think some of their Texas friends may have caught up to them. Stellar performance.

    I think Music between Avon/Carmel and the Texas groups will be closer than expected, but that's just a prediction. I think Hebron could easily win music over Vandy if the stars align tomorrow night (had to make the pun)

    Maybe on those forums, on here I saw many who had them lower than 4th. Regardless, both programs would do well at Grand Nationals this year.

    Avon would be fine. Everyone thought in 2017 that Avon wouldn't be able to compete with the elites of Texas yet they won visual and were .22 from 2nd. I do think Reagan would be a lock for top 3, but anything is possible on any given day.

    I thought Round Rock was fantastic. Definitely will be pushing for Grand National finals again

    The first circle part is one of the greatest musical moments of this season from anyone I've seen. The ending itself... could be more.

    The energy in that ending is phenomenal. Some visual inconsistencies, but it is the first time a lot of those students have performed in a competition of that magnitude. That is a show worthy of a grand national championship.

    Basket Case has a special place in my heart given that it is my college's fourth quarter song we always play, but I like the arrangement. I agree about the narration. That's the part I don't like. The closer is such a high impact/energy moment that I suspect will get a well deserved standing ovation come Finals night.

    Just saw a video of Avon from this past weekend's ISSMA regional. All I can say is that this is the strongest Avon has looked in a few years. There is one moment of the show I don't care for, but as a whole this show is something special. The guard is INSANE. It's hard for me to see them not placing top 3 in finals and ending up with best visual performance.

    On video they dont look much smaller than last year if they are at all. The guard also looks phenomenal. Seems to be the strongest start from them in many years if not ever. Super excited to see how the season plays out for them.

    I agree 100% it's been amazing to see how good they have gotten this year.
