  1. That is the best run Hebron has had all year, hands down.
  2. It's too bad Carmel (and to a lesser extent Park Vista) leaves their soloists exposed waaaaasy too long. That French horn is at (past?) What they can do & unfortunately detracts from the overall performance.
  3. Congrats to all!! RR 97.3 Visual General effect Vandegrift 96.4 Music VR 95.225 Leander 95.075 Hebron 94.9 Marcus 94.6 CTJ 94.1 TWHS 92.55 FloMo 90.95 Bell 89.65 James Bowie 89.20 Round Rock 89.10 Keller 88.85 Pearland 87.05
  4. Yup. Very surprised at my FloMo ranking. I still think TWHS is the wild card here. Did the judges buy into the musical theatre?. I think it was so well done they did. But I still had RR the clear winner.
  5. I think the scoring variance is going to be uh interesting to say the least. I had them like this: RR (GE V M) Leander TWHS Vandegrift Hebron VR Marcus CTJ Keller Bell FloMo (!!!) Round Rock Pearland James Bowie
  6. Marcus and TWHS are an absolute study in contrast on how to put on excellent shows. It will be interesting to see how they rank against each other.
  7. Don't sleep on Marcus. They are running the Cleanest show hands down right now.
  8. New turf this year. Lots of bands have had issues yesterday/today.
  9. Since I can't hear them, can someone flesh out this list? I have these 9 as locks for finals in alpha order... CTJ FloMo Hebron Leander Marcus RR Vandegrift Vista Ridge TWHS I was thinking there was going to be 10 bands fighting for the last 5 slots. Any other locks?
  10. Am I correct in understanding that Flo marching has the sound disabled for replays? So when I go to watch bands that I didn't see in person, I can only watch them but not hear them? Is that correct?
  11. Did not see any prelims yesterday. From today, the following are locks (in order, w/ an overall comment) TWHS (most emotionally satisfying) Hebron (technically most difficult show) Vista Ridge (solid. Not as emotionally satisfying as TWHS or as technically difficult as Hebron) Marcus (Cleanest show)
  12. Yep. Marcus had an outstanding run. I've seen them 4 times and they have elevated their show each time. In related news San Benito had to have the most unfortunate prelims draw going between Marcus and Hebron. Hebron next.
  13. Yeah it was weird how it was announced. He announced Central first and then iirc said that Timber tied them with the tie being broken by KC having higher GE. Of course I could have gone dyslexic when I was taking notes. I guess we'll have to wait for the results to confirm. I sit corrected. GE Results show: TC 44.800 KC 44.400
