By looking at the judges sheets the reason we placed so low was due to the fact that we went first. "Super!" was written on both of the music judges sheets. We came in second overall in visual. Just GE and guard brought us down a bit. Next week hopefully will be much better.

Yes, in fact i would be surprised if they didn't. However, I still believe that by us going first it hurt our score and I can assure I'm not the only one in the band that believes that. Congrats to all the bands that beat us. Didn't get to see many of them but I'm sure you guys did well. We'll be seeing some of you at Westlake and more at UIL. Good luck to all.

Actually our finals performance was about 50 times better than prelims. We did suck it up in prelims but finals was one of the best shows we have had, topping the show that we won the USBAA competition in Hendrickson with. Perhaps the drop in rank was due to the fact that Leander requested to go first in finals because it was the night of our homecoming dance? I havent seen the judges sheets so i dont know for sure what the reason is for the low score. We did not "brand ourself" anything. Cedar Park and Leander are rivals in everything you can possibly imagine, including band, ever since Cedar Park High School first opened its doors. There is nothing to have to earn. Keep your mouth shut unless you know what your talking about I always say.
