Honestly...as awsome as TT's comeback was...that bowl GAME was not amazing. The first half was one team running all over the other, and then the second half was the other team running all over. The comeback was crazy, but the game sucked. Only one team showed up a half. The thing with boise state that was so amazing was that it was just punch for punch the entire game. Plus this does wonders for midmajors...just as george mason did in the ncaa tourny last year. You wont find a more exciting game than this one. (already watched it again on espn classic)

practice? what do you call this practice? -
I dont think there is any doubt that Ohio State is the best team in the country this year...USC is good but they do have 2 losses, both to unranked teams. undefeated OSU > 2 loss USC **Note: USC will be the preseason #1 next year and I feel they have a very good shot at the national title. In fact, i can very much see a Mich/OSU problem happening next year with USC/CAL

That was one of...if not the greatest games i've ever seen. Best bowl game i've ever seen for sure.

Band in College
Tnilli replied to Serardian's topic in Everything Music: Marching, Concert, Auditions and more
Just for anyone considering aTm... aTm is a great school...but not for music MAJORS. If you want to major in music, dont even look here. However, if you are majoring in other things (science, engineering, business, etc.) aTm might fit your mold. To be in the marching band here, you have to join the corps...which kinda sucks. There is a wind symphony on campus ( i was in it for 2 years) and its comprised of pretty much no music majors, just people wanting to keep playing their horns. Some of them are double majoring in music, almost just for fun because they like it but it wont be their main focus. aTm also has a volleyball/basketball band called Hullabaloo! you can try out for which is fun as heck (I should know...i just got back from a FREE trip to LA to go to disneyland and play for the basketball team's game vs. UCLA on sat). So theres some info for ya. But if you are seriously considering music as your major, avoid aTm. Otherwise, at least come check it out. -
Football works harder. Not a single one of you can convince me otherwise. It takes multiple runs of a show to equal one football game time wise. With band your only pounding on your own body, its something you can control. With football, your getting fought (especially if on o-line or d-line) every single play. I dont care if you even compare practices to each other, but the actual fact of playing those football games week in and week out takes its tolls on people. It takes a lot more physical strength to stay good to make the playoffs, especially when your competition happens every Friday night to show you how good (or bad) you are. With band...you maybe go to 3 or 4 contests before state. That may not make a whole lot of sense...if not call me out and i'll try better...its late and finals are kickin my butt.

I agree with piano...you cant compare these at all...

The ps2 in no way compares the the ps3. I have played the ps3 and its pretty much amazing. I wont ever buy one because i wont drop $600 on a freaking video game consol. Thats why I have nerd friends who buy every single system and then mooch off of them. I think im gonna wait for the 360 to drop in price some and then buy that. (Gears of War btw freakin rocks) P.S. - these videos are the best part of the Wii's creation http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=15...ontroller+break

The one good thign i'll say about physics is...in college the labs are rediculously easy. If you ever have to take physics in college...you'll seriously do the same type labs you did in high school. Chemistry on the other hand, is three straight hours of heck where if you make one mistake in the lab you get a big fat F for that experiment.
-
Well if you want to talk about the major your welcome to hit me up on aim anytime and i'll talk to you about it. I was a chem major for 2 years and then i switched. Although i didnt finish it out...i still know about every aspect of the degree/major. Good luck with your physics...i can help some...unless its the electricity stuff
-
physics gets about 100x worse in college... Oh and btw...organic chemistry is the worst class ever created. period.

I know the hit your talking about. If you watch the entire clip of Dodge's interception...as soon as he catches the ball Heard goes after colt immediately. This isnt because he hates him, its because he was a potential tackler. The way ABC showed it made it look like it came from absolutely nowhere, but it did happen in context of the play. Coaches train defensive linemen to take out anyone in the backfield (including the quarterback) when an interception occurs because they all become defensive players. Both players learned a lesson...heard learned not to let his emotions get to him and pull shots like that and colt learned you should probably leave your helmet strapped until the play is called dead.

Luck? Ok how in the world do you call that game luck? There was one bad call that should have been overturned that wasnt (the sliding catch the texas WR made that did not hit the ground). The rest of that game texas lost it themselves. They are supossed to have the best Run Defense in the nation and got their **** handed to them. They are supossed to have one of hte top offensive lines in the nation, and got their asses handed to them. I'll admit it wasnt the prettiest game...but in no way was there much luck involved.

The very end of PR 89 is awsome. That gets my vote. Im talking about the part where it builds up then gets silent while the trumpets just wail...its pretty awsome. -
Jazz Band Logo?
Tnilli replied to Trumpet Master's topic in Everything Music: Marching, Concert, Auditions and more
Yea...i mean you could be the coolest member of your jazz band because you could spit fire out of your flute. If Ron Burgandy can do it...so can you! -
For one of the corps i absolutely love...they are hideous. That cream/purple combo is sickening. I honestly think they are one of the best sounding corps out there...but i just cant look at them, its awful. WE MUST FIX THIS! (or pretend like we can)

Just put up a picture of Chuck Norris holding a flugel (sp?) horn and saying... "Jazz this" And then on the back have him roundhouse kick out the shirt. (dont listen to me) -
Loudness!!!

As for the cutting people part.... I'm all for it. I'm sorry but when I was in high school, I wanted to win. Period. Take it we didnt exactly win a ton while I was there, but that was always my goal. If you want to be competitive you can't be nice. Bad people gotta go. If you wanna march for fun...thats college...unless your at aTm...then its he11. Seriously i cant say he11?
