  1. The Crockett sax soloist was INSANELY good oh my gosh!!! And what an adorable show from Crockett - well done!
  2. I totally see Forney higher up, I think maybe the early morning bias got me but their show was COOL. Trinity is my next out as well, it’ll be a nail biter for them and Sachse on the bubble.
  3. After first two blocks - here’s how my potential finalists placed - what are y’all thinking? Marcus Wakeland Coppell Lone Star SLC Forney Sachse
  4. Wakeland’s visual is absolutely unmatched so far today, not a foot out of time to be seen.
  5. Honestly finals feels like a lock for them - it’s if they can break into the upper placements I think they’re fighting for.
  6. Lone Star had me on my feet at the end of their show! Those kids can PLAY!!
  7. ummm… Sachse?!?! that was my favorite show of the day so far! that opening hit of Paint it Black rocked the stadium! This show is a GE machine!
  8. Great show from Brock! HUGE shoutout to the student who stopped the runaway prop from rolling all the way to Fort Worth and then carried on with the show like a champ!!!
  9. 🙋🏻‍♂️ me too!! We got one really good one at the end of the opener - but besides that I agree I could definitely use more haha
  10. Coppell always has one of those shows that I feel like I need to watch twice (at least!) just to catch everything - such interesting theming! The LOUDEST woodwind section I’ve ever heard, and they sound phenomenal! Some of the hardest visuals of the morning as well, an overall excellent performance!!
  11. I hate to call it early, but I would be fairly surprised if we didn’t see them again later. They were fantastic!
  12. Liberty HS good morning! This show is the complete package - the uniforms, props, interwoven violin solo, completely cohesive no matter where you look! And it is COLD out here people (for Texas anyway), and they sounded FANTASTIC, very very pretty sounds. What a great start to the day!
  13. I really admired the difficulty level and finesse they played with, so for me yes! GE might take them down below the Cedars though.
  14. Here’s what I got! What are y’all’s predictions? Vandegrift (Vis, GE) Vista (Music) Rouse Lake Travis Cedar Ridge Cedar Park Round Rock Westwood Dripping Springs Leander Westlake James Bowie
  15. Lake Travis really said “y’all are SURPRISED to see us here? Watch this.” Outstanding execution.
  16. I did right after posting that, remember it’s SEPTEMBER - you’re so right.
  17. Maybe I’m just in a grumpy mood because the stream is awful but - I don’t really get the Vandegrift hype train? Like yes they can play loud, but there’s 600 of them - I even think they pushed it past sounding good quite a few times. It’s also hard to keep the visual interesting when the field is so crowded? Maybe I’m the only one who feels this way? Just needed to get that thought out of my head.
  18. Not to be overshadowed by technical difficulties - Round Rock CRUSHED it! Symphonic sound, solid visual foundations, and a lovely ballad! Best of the first half IMO.
  19. So if you have “West” in your name - does that mean your woodwinds are by law required to be CRAZY GOOD??
  20. EXACTLY what I was thinking about Unhatched Chicks! I would absolutely end up marching to the upbeats!
  21. Westwood’s show is designed so well and is just so dang cute! One of my favorites of the day!
  22. Okay I have to say … I liked Bowie’s show a whole lot more right now than I did this morning. I think the excitement led to pushing a TINY bit past a good sound at times, but overall a great performance!
  23. No Bronze Medal this year? 😂
