Holy Lake Travis! That's so awesome for them! Completely deserved based on their performance today, their show appeared to be VERY difficult and it looks like it paid off! Also relieved to see Cedar Park in the top half - I think they have a good shot to end up with a medal tonight, can't wait to see how they (and all the other groups) do!

Agree! Hoping Cedar Park gets a good performance slot tonight because they have such a great show and a TON of potential.

Finalists (my opinion, in order kind of): 1 - 3: Cedar Park (VIS) Vandegrift (GE) - I think the heat significantly impacted prelims, would not be surprised if they swept in finals Vista Ridge (Music) 4 - 5: Rouse Cedar Ridge 6 - 9: Round Rock Westwood (might be biased, a personal fav) Leander Bowie 10 - 12: Westlake Dripping Springs Lake Travis Just Out: Hendrickson (could see maybe them in and Westlake out)

Lake Travis coming in with one of the most musically challenging openers of the day - a little dirt here and there but impressive nevertheless! I hope to see them in finals - I think this is my favorite show of theirs to date!

Round Rock fighting for that spot in the top half of finals! Very solid performance, especially visually - I love how much of the field they take up!

Block 2 finals contenders: 1. Vista 2. Cedar Ridge 3. Rouse 4/5. Westwood/Westlake 6. Bowie I don’t think anybody has even got close to CP’s visual difficulty + execution today, so I think I would still (maybe controversially) still have them ranked in first overall.

The finesse Vista Ridge has this early in the season is spectacular - I want to see them really throw down and let us have it in finals!

Great performance from Bowie! Some real musically impressive moments. Was anyone else distracted by those capes on the uniform? The visual is getting there but I feel like that just made everything a bit harder to see line up. Definitely in finals contention!

Me too! I think their performance was stellar!! (pun intended) But I do also think how early they performed might hinder them advancing to finals.

Hutto??? That full band sound is CRAZY GOOD!!! Literally was jump scared by that opening hit - I could listen to y’all all day.

you can FEEL how bad Leander wants this through their performance, just emanating energy!! Reigning that in to a polished performance is gonna make them unstoppable - excellent performance today!

Stony Point could really pack a punch with their sound! And that oboe soloist - beautiful playing!

That Woodlands run was awesome!! To do what they just did after a director change is seriously so impressive - but I’m not at all surprised. Their energy tonight is going to be INSANE I can’t wait!!

After the first 6 bands - I cannot BELIEVE the quality here tonight. You could’ve told me this was the top half of finals and I would have believed you.

Even over live-stream I could tell The Woodlands has DEFINITELY put a lot of work into foot timing in this last week! Excited to see what happens tonight!
