If any of my acquaintances with TWHS would be willing/able to send a link to a private/unlisted video of their performance after LSP finals I would greatly appreciate it! If not, that is ok too. I don't share the links without permission (as a few here know) so it won't go beyond me. Wish I could be there...

Being happy is frivolous? I think not!? Shows about golf or pinball and the like strike me as frivolous, but trying to make people feel good is a good thing and can strike a deep emotional chord. I know on my personal front I find it heartening and certainly refreshing with what I've gone through this year.

Reviewing the video from last week, no, they didn't.

College Park has dropped.

Aaaaand, the streams are gone, only the awards presentations.

I also saw a video of Pasadena Memorial, and they could do quite well here too.

Yep, lots of problems yesterday. They did work around with the YouTube streaming for finals, but still, we paid for the service and it failed miserably.

Just search YT for Box5 Media and go to their channel. Look under the "Videos" tab if they don't show up on the "Home" tab. Nothing super-secret (at least for now).

OK, so my 2 main predictions came true: College Park in Finals, and Klein Oak in top half. I too am surprised by Pearland's placement.

Klein Oak with a strong performance. They still have a shot for top half per my comment the other day.

Agreed. I really like the direction the program has taken over the last few years. They are continuing to get better and better.

There is a place called "The Cabaret" in Indy. May be interesting to check out with your oodles of free time while you are there! From the website it seems to be more the general entertainment type rather than the risqué type.

I just watched their show and I agree. They really could get into finals with what I saw. Dare I say darkhorse for top half?

The last time a BOA contest was held at Woodforest the answer was yes. I don't know if they have changed anything for this year. So unless someone has firm info I would prep for cash parking.

It wasn't just TWHS, but also the feeder school, McCullough, that had a great season too.

From my perspective it makes the start time better - 7am rather than 6am. So I may just get to see Oak Ridge.

Short response is yes, design is part of what the judges look at. Slightly longer response: The music/visual performance ensemble and the music/visual general effect have subcaptions that require the judge to evaluate the effectiveness of the design from the particular requirements of each area.

Probably not everyone, but several of us have either via private video or apparently in person for some (not me as I now live in Arizona, so a little tough to be in person, plus I'm still convalescing). They have a show with lots of growth potential and will be very tough to beat, especially as they grow into the show.

Found the TWHS video too. Still lots of room to grow in that show. I think they addressed one of the weaknesses of the 2019 show, which was the start was too bland. Musically was great for this time of year. I agree the guard is really raising their game. By November this show has the potential to break into top half of finals. Will be interesting to see where they take it. Oh, I think that it should win Conroe unless someone else comes up with a completely unexpected improvement.

I have zero info about any attending band so all my thoughts are based on the most recent results and history. SFA could very easily have kept improving from 2019. In fact my prediction is for them to squeak into 2nd here, just ahead of Pearland.
