Confused too looking at the scores. I believe they did tear a bit in Woods, but overall a much stronger performance than prelims. I expected them to jump a place (and not just out of bias!). Their visual is so cute and bought into, the visual GE score seemed low to me.

Love that flute solo and the intro music! The Be Our Guest part is so much fun!!

My thoughts was it was some sort of intersection of people at different points of life based on the costumes of that one group that circles in the center, but I could be wrong!

I'm not the biggest fan of the Box5 audio between bands. It seemed like a few times earlier they forgot to mute the announcer's stream and caught a couple awkward moments.

I know this isn't helpful, but I'm currently not having that issue on the multi cam stream. I bought mine this morning, so maybe that's factoring into it. Are the issues only appearing to be with high cam?

Personally I like Vandy's overall ensemble sound much better, although I found ctj a bit more exciting. Both were incredible performances though!!

Wow! I gotta say, being on the other side of the field for the first time this year is a whole different kind of fun. Absolutely blown away by both Cedar Ridge and Lake Travis! Going to be SUCH a fun competition

I think it's too much in our identity to see a change anytime soon, although I don't know what goes on behind the scenes. Personally, I know us performers absolutely love our current style, even if the numbers can get a little low. Our director always drills into us that it's not about the judges or the scores, it's about the audience, and that's why our shows tend to cater more towards the excitement that comes with modern electronics rather than more orchestral pieces, and spicing them up if we do use them (ex: actual fabric explosions during 1812). At the end of the day it doesn't matter where we place so long as we can get the audience on their feet at the end. It would definitely be interesting to see what we could do with more classical pieces musically, though I think (and of course I don't speak for everyone) us kids would love to stick with our current direction.

Wow I think that's the first time I've seen (what looked like from wayyyy up here) a bass flute solo in a show! Loved it!

If it does, we'll be missing state my senior year, and 6a was a blast to compete at :/ I'm not really sure how this whole system works, but I can see us losing enough people to drop between this year and next year due to the usual moving around, as well as people who drop IB and have to return to their home campuses though Edit: I suppose fun to compete at isn't the right wording. I'm sure 5a would be a blast too, it was just fun to see everyone again three days after SA and be on the field next to Vista when they won and got swarmed :')

What is Lockport Township playing in their closer? It sound so familiar but the name is slipping my mind.

Just to throw my own predictions in here 1. Reagan (Absolutely love their show this year, it's so fun!) 2. Hebron (Love their ballad!) 3. Vandegrift (Again, love the ballad!) 4. FloMo (Haven't gotten a chance to see their show yet, but it's FloMo so I'm sure it's amazing) 5. Leander (that's me! my favorite of the three shows I've been in, it's so physically taxing and a blast) 6. CTJ (I've heard they've made a lot of changes to their show since Austin, and I'm excited to see how they do! Big fan!) 7. Vista Ridge (Really good brass here, got to hear a bit in warm-up this weekend and really enjoyed it once again) Everything in the bottom seven is even more guesswork as I haven't gotten the chance to watch a lot of these shows 8. The Woodlands 9. Marcus 10. James Bowie 11. Keller 12. Cedar Park 13. Cedar Ridge 14. Rouse Music: Hebron GE: Reagan Visual: Reagan I don't see anyone sweeping captions this year in finals. As everyone else says, it's going to be an interesting and fun year!

I totally agree with you. Although I think CTJ is still the most likely to win this, Vandy or Vista has the best shot at beating them. I'd love to see LISD win, but I might also be a bit biased.
