At Bowie we tried so hard to impliment something where during summer band camp the baritone who held their horn up best that day got to switch horns with the trumpet or mello who held theirs up the worst. While this happened once i'm convinced that this may just be a way to encourage us lazy baritones to hold our horns up and maybe stop those pansy trumpets and mellos from complaining so much.

Here here, I must say that I believe that's the way to go. My slide-lock broke in 8th grade and the only thing saving me from the embarassment of dropping my slide is the fact that I only lubricate the top. So every time its about to fall off it just sticks at the bottom.
