At HHS, our drum room is a long narrow room. We have cubbys for all our junk, and on the far end more cubbys for Base/Tenor/Snare drums. It's never clean because we spend more time in there than anywhere else in the band hall, and there's usually food somewhere inside. Although there is a "no eating" rule, we kind of forget. Anyways, just wondering what everyone else's room is like.

Watch the news. No really though, it's so boring and depressing, puts me to sleep no matter what. If that doesn't help spanish soaps I think.

I like both, it would be hard/impossible for me to pick my 3-4 favorite songs to play in a show. So many good ones. Drools at the thought. And there was a band that played an FF7 show, just wasn't done all that well.

Yeah, it's just that sometimes I feel we get a lesser score because they think it would make them look bad for putting a band in 4A ( any band ) who had a really really good show among the top 3 in a finals setting.

I use these small black mallets, they bend when I use them for warm ups, like anything involving fast tempos, but otherwise they have a really nice song. Pro mark one of those models.

Play a show from Advent Children. Now, don't just assume that it's a lame idea. If you've ever heard any of the music from the movie, you'd probably agree, it's very well written, and a band could probably add a unique twist to it. It would make a killer guard uniform if they dressed up like the Turks. mu haha..

Enter competitions as a 5A band? Here's why I ask. I always feel like when we compete, we're viewed differently because we're 4A. I also think that once 5A bands play the judges get like a new mindset, like "Oh hey 5A, break out the high scores for these ones" or something. I'm wondering why we don't just compete 5A, because it seems like maybe that could help us be percieved (sp?) in a better way. Merely thoughts
