  4. Crossmen will house at the Richland Hills campus after the Houston show and then again after the San Antonio show. _________ Full Story Crossmen Change Housing Site For Dallas Area Due to some unexpected turf work at the stadium at Forney HS, Crossmen are moving our housing site for this Friday and Sunday night. We thank our hosts at Forney for the heads-up as soon as they were made aware of the situation. The Forney folks always make us feel at home and Crossmen thank them for their continued generosity. We look forward to our November eXperience Camp visit to this great campus with friendly students, hosts and fans. Immediately after being made aware of the stadium issue, tour manager, Joe Banegas, went to work in finding a replacement site. He did not have to look far. Brass instructor, Gary Barnard, an assistant band director at Birdville called his administration and made the connection. Crossmen will house at the Richland Hills campus after the Houston show and then again after the San Antonio show. Please visit www.crossmen.org for any further mid-tour developments. You can follow our 2009 tour by visiting our daily news blurb called "Crossmen Chronicles". Click the Chronicles link on the left side of the home page for stories and photos from the road. Thanks for all of your support in helping keep the Crossmen dream alive!

  9. Don't let the fact that spring training has already begun to "forbid" you from marching with The Crossmen.

  15. Breifly heard that was the title of Trooper's show on DCP. Someone said it was posted on Wickapedia but it has since been taken down. Interesting to hear Cadets and Troopers will both be doing WSS this summer though...
  16. MORE INFO TO COME...... http://www.crossmen.org
  17. I think they should judge Front Ensemble separately from percussion and they should also judge the new electronics in that category too. And if a corps chooses to have vocals, they should also be judged separately they might already do this though.. not sure
  18. Heard you'll be learning the preshow and opener this weekend... Good luck... Keep up the hard work!!!
  19. I'm from PA and being in TX for the Dec Camp was amazing! I love this corps!!!
  20. Additude and Personality play a HUGE role in the Crossmen audition process. They pick people who want to be Crossmen. They had too many trumpets at the December camp so unless you play mellophone, you're chances are slim. Bari line is overflowing with talent too. Here are some pics from December: December Auditions Facebook Album
  21. One camp down... Next Audition camp for the Crossmen: November 28 - 30 ----- Dallas Experience/Audition Camp Forney High School (East Dallas/Mesquite) 800 FM 741 Forney, TX 75126 Go to http://www.crossmen.org for more information
  22. Today was a great day for the Crossmen. There were two satalite auditions for Brass and a drum clinic. CROSSMEN NATION!!!! TEXAS, KANSAS CITY, AND WEST CHESTER PA Three sites, one mission!!! Good talent is coming our way!!! Watch out for the 2009 Crossmen. Yes, they are from TEXAS NOW!!! AND WE'RE MAKING A STATEMENT!
  23. Crossmen 2009 Orchestration Team With the 2009 implementation of electronic instruments comes an incredible responsibility. The challenge is to present these new aural opportunities in a refined way that will open the door to diverse textures, while, at the same time, remain true to the drum corps identity. As Aaron Guidry, Crossmen Music Designer explains, "The use of soundscapes is not an after-thought with my arrangements. It is a ground level part of the design that many times guides and propels my projects." With this in mind, Aaron will remain in his role as Music Arranger for the 2009 Crossmen, with a select team assisting in the orchestration process. More can be learned about Aaron at www.yataforluda.com. Carol Chambers Carol Chambers will continue to orchestrate the Brass Book for the 2009 Crossmen. Carol is Yata for Luda
  24. I was a member at the beginning of the Crossmen 75-80. The best part about being with a corps at the beginning was helping and participating in its climb to success. This is the same feeling the 07-08 vets are feeling right now... there's nothing like that feeling. Yes, you can win, but taking something from nothing and making it succeed is so much more rewarding. Crossmen have a lot of heart and they aint' messing around this year; this is for real. Texas is their new home!!!
