  1. A few people bailed out for one reason or another, and that's why the spots are open again. Not that unusual for drum corps. It takes a lot of comittment to do this activity. If you know any talented people that are willing to work hard and have the experience of a lifetime, that would be awesome. I'd love to see the Crossmen, now from Texas, kick some butt someday in DCI. This is a very important year for the corps and its future.

  16. What it looks like from the snare line.
  17. Biggest surprise may be the Crossmen. It will be great to see them on their own again after 11 years. It's not even November and they have over 400 applicants already. They also expect a big '07 vet return. Biggest challenge will be their independence status and how the administration handles that. I believe that they've learned a lot from last summer and that they will surprise a lot of people next summer. They have good people at the helm. If I donate to anyone, it will be the Crossmen. They're gonna need the money the most this year. They need new horns, buses, and need sponsors; looking forward to the campaigns for these. I've got my checkbook ready. Bones!

  22. Mellophone players sought for Crossmen hornline Thursday, May 24, 2007 By: Caryn Goebel Spring Training is the perfect time to jump on board The Crossmen seek accomplished, skilled mellophone players to audition for the San Antonio, Texas-based corps. The calling comes as the corps prepares to Move In for Spring Training at the state-of-the-art facility, The Virgil T. Blossom Athletic Center. The corps gathers for four weeks of training beginning Saturday, May 26 in San Antonio as they continue work on their 2007 program, "Metamorphosis." This is the perfect opportunity for players who missed out on the fall and winter audition process, but still have the commitment, skill and desire to march in a Division I drum corps. Even more exciting, 2007 members will be the first generation of Crossmen hailing from the Lone Star State. The corps has been learning and rehearsing music for "Metamorphosis" since January and drill instruction to the opener began during the early May camp. Selections of the show include Paul Hindemith

If you like to sew! They need your talent too. Also, the kids need to eat 4 times a day and that won't be possible with only 2 people on the food truck. They'll supply the plastic gloves, they just need your hands to fill them. The Crossmen have an extensive tour schedule so you can jump on at any time in the summer to lend a hand.
