Yeah, I really appreciated all the hard work the bands put on the field. It was really a treat watching Area G. Judging has always been a problem in UIL, but hey: all you can do is pop a show and hope for the best. It's their game, not ours. So good work everybody! Congratulations to all the advancing bands and I hope them the best. Although I must say, it's comments like these that really offend me. Especially since I am a member of the band being commented on: It's the comment by jevil91 It's always great to take pride in your accomplishments, but never to the point where you are putting down others. Once again, congratulations to the advancing bands.

Like everyone else, Cedar Park made me smile! Churchill's version of Bartok was awesome. Bowie had a monstorous sound and Westfield had a great pre-show! All of the advancing bands were excellent.

First of all, I just want to thank everybody who supported the Sharyland Band. I really helped and meant a lot to me. I'm coping with and pretty much putting it past me what happened at Area G. I've realized that we only need our satisfaction and nobody elses. We had a pretty good season this year. Sharyland Band Accomplishments 1st place at USSBA (Night Show) 11th place at BOA Houston (1-10th advanced to finals) 1st division at Pigskin 3rd place at Area G Prelims 8th place at Area G Finals Even if we didn't make it to state, I am very proud to be in my band. First of all, I wanted to wish good luck to all the bands from Area G who will be advancing to State. I am from the Sharyland Band and lets just say my spirit is crushed. What in the world happened?! What went wrong? The thought of inconsistancy in the judging has been getting to me all day. Going from 3rd to 8th is pretty shocking. Maybe that isn't the case.. maybe we deserved the place we got. I doubt it. If that is the case (inconsistancy in judging), then something obviously needs to be done. Can something be done? or is UIL going to allow those bands advance to State? There has been a lot of discussion on this particular topic already. So what were diffrences between the bands advancing to State and us? Someone please explain. No need of an explination of their dancing either, I am well awair of that. So can someone just give me a good explination?
