  1. [/quote Crazyjakeup]songs from rent are interesting I LOVE that movie!!!! that some Crazy by Gnarls Barkley...hate it but its always getting stuck in my head...Hilary Duff songs to..lol
  2. I remember last year during the part 3 last year when we rushed we would be at like 215, thats what Hall said one day...during the show. During the fundmental block, we march God knows how many times across the field (from end zone to end zone..no like, in lines going every 8) at 200+...and the straight leg...OUCH !!! I hate it. Last year he decided to experiment with us going over 220...CRAZY man...
  3. i have waaaaaaaaay to many (I like everyone) If a chicken had lips could it whistle?? (LMAO)
  4. sighs (and Reagan...lol)
  5. what somebody said when i asked "did ld bell actually win GN'S" made me mad = Large Tarp
  6. L.D Bells show is OMG, my fav since our show 03'!!!! Last year at the end of our show (Wake from your sleep) we would run around like we were crazy or something, and then we fall and died at the end...some of my fellow band members (hahahaha ) would chase the judges around. Judges had no where go to cuz we were running everywhere and going mad and when we finally fell....they let out a sigh of relief...LMAO (they were scared...so funny; good time, good times )
  7. I agree. Bell of course represented very very well...Im proud of everyone . Hopefully next year a texas band can bring the Eagle home to the lone star state where it belongs!!!!
  8. (Drummer Chick) "invisible dart" game went araound for a while, it started out as the pit against the cymbals, where you would make eye contact with your target and hold your hand to your mouth and make a sound, they then had a "dart" in their neck, and had to lie on the ground I thought we were the only losers that did that....LMAO... We go around screaming like indians (or africans in my case lol ) and then we do the dart thing and the person we do it to freezes then falls out and dies...hahaha
  9. We already started our christmas music monday. Its pretty good, kinda long though but im likeing it. for concert season we are playing Overture to Candide, Nessun Dorma and i forgot what the march is called, i think he is throwing in a 4th song.
  10. Next year i dont know whats gonna happen, i really really want my band to do well (in the judges eyes). Im trying out for Drum Major again, maybe this time i'll get it, this year they only picked 2 DMs both seniors.
  11. That was long!!! But i read it though hahaha. Nice reviews man, nice reviews
  12. Im not a big fan of Molly on the Shore...Most of the clarinet i know enjoyed it. We are playing overture to candide this spring, so we'll see how it goes
  13. LD Bell was simply outstanding (espically their guard). I believe Marcus should have been placed higher then they were at finals. Im not trying to be rude, but Reagans show was not all that great to me, i have seen them do better, i really was not feeling it to much. As far as we go... I hate the way we placed, we have worked soooooooooo hard like the rest of the bands. I could NOT be HAPPIER with our finals performance, it was darn near perfect, we fixed everything the judges commented about at prelims. I think us going first had a lot to do with it. Im upset, but u move on with life. I wish all the bands the best of luck at state this week, and Grand Nats. Hopefully a texas band will bring the Eagle back to Texas where it belongs!!! (There was some bands that played our music from grand nats year 03', yeah that was not cool at all). Does anyone agree with me when i say a lot of the placements were shocking...
  14. We usually start off with good numbers but a lot of the freshman realize that its not as easy as we make it look, and they quit. Only like 1/3 will actually stay in all the way through (maybe a little more)
  15. We have 6 bass clarinets (including me) and we all march. We have 2 baris this year (4 last year) they all march and 4 tenor saxes and they all march. the low reeds are strong here....we even made cool shirts last year that are like "Drop it like its hot (front)...Get low with the low reeds (back)" and we have like ghetto pics of everyone together on the front and we made up ghetto names on the back (mine said Jordan aka Aquanisha) its was sooooooooo funny . Good times, good times.
  16. Westfield, ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. It really depends on the directors and their determination as well as the band members and how hard they work and are willing to work (work ethic). All these good bands, are good because they work really, really hard for it. Like they always say hard work pays off.
  18. Bass clarinet for band, but im classically trained on piano, and im learning how to play acoustic guitar (I named it Gary )
  19. I dont have that problem within my section (there is only 5 of us and like only 1 is a freshman, and a determined one at that). There are some in my band. One in the clarinet section, and to make things worse she is a senior and was there 03' when we won grand nats. It pissed me off how she really doest care, and does nothing but cause drama, and fights, and mess. When people confront her about it she says we all pick on her and she wants to quit, and she doesnt want to be here anyway. Well then bye!!! We are waiting for you to leave, u are nothing but dead weight to the program that wants to succeed. There is the door, dont let it hit cha where the good lord split cha. LOL
  20. Its hard to say really. I havnt seen everyone. From what i hear, everyone is doing something different. We will just have to wait and see what happends in San Antonio.
  21. Jodie Rhodes will make u pee on yourself she is sooooooooooo scary. At times she can be ok. Mr. Hall is pretty mean to.
  22. Most of our double reeds march cymbols if they are good enough to make the line. some are fakers on other instruments when we need to fill in holes for people that failed.
  23. I agree. I hate when people try to blame the judges because they didnt get the place they thought they think they should have. They give u what they think u should have, regardless of how u are, and what band you repersent.
  24. San antonio is gonna be mad wicked this year. I cant wait!!!!! Im really nervous to see what the outcome is gonna be. I know a lot of us have been working our butts off, and all the hard work will come out November 3, and 4.
