I personally love Hebron's uniforms. They may not allow for any extreme movement but in terms of overall style and uniformity, nobody has them beat in my opinion.

By the way things are looking I'll see you (and Dan?) in Austin and SA! My mom will for sure be at those 2. I'm fighting my work schedule, but for now I'm in the clear lol

It's a huge endurance thing, and you having marched drum corps and I at least making it through spring training before having to get surgery and pull out, we both know that repetition breeds excellence. The more reps you get on a full product, the more normal and comfortable it will feel on the field. I will say having marched '15-'18 at CTJ, the difference in comfortably performing '17/'18 as compared to '15/'16 in earlier comps like Austin and McAllen (other than my experience difference at the time) was huge, and I can still remember the shock of the kids' faces including mine when the score gaps at Austin were announced. I'll be speaking out of my bum for a second but I do recall VR winning visual at Austin in '18 and that goes to show that the cleanliness of vis/mus can very well go to a program with an incomplete production, however there are the sub captions like mus effect to consider as well, so I do think completing the show early can do only good in terms of early season results. That said, having just graduated from Johnson and watching other programs and corps rehearse, it is evident that bad habits are prone to form when the program is quickly put on the field.

While the night is still young...I have one word: Wow Tonight was special. Everyone sounded amazing and never before have I been in a room with people filled with so much joy. Being a part of the Johnson stampede running into Vista's retreat block might actually be my favorite part of the season. Great job Vista Ridge, FloMo and Vandegrift for medalling and to everyone else participating in the contest. Words cannot describe my experience.

It's been recently dropped :'(. I was looking forward to it but around the time in school with grades and doing 4 BOA comps PLUS State would be really really hectic. I understand dropping it but I did really want to attend.

Does anybody actually know when the state listenings will take place?

I LOVED Del Rio last year. Our band director, Jarrett Lipman, went over there a few times to do some clinics and to my understanding, our Visual Caption Head, Aaron Barnes, actually writes drill for you guys. I'm rooting for y'all as always! At BOA Midland last year, the Band Director over there gave a very moving speach to us after finals retreat. The kids at Del Rio were so so so nice and I remember their faces lighting up in the stands when they were announcing finalists. I wish you guys the same success this year and going forth

Any finalist predictions yet? This one will be interesting to compare to Waco. Upper half seems to be just a little tougher to acheive, but Waco looks like it has a stronger list overall. I'm so excited for this season.

Lol yes my mom is Gina and my girlfriend's mom is Lisa - The name "BrewersGrill" comes from the nickname our Band Director gave me. My last name's Brewer and there's a restaurant down here called Brewer's Grill. It just stuck I guess!

Haha no problem and yeah I've seen you around a whole lot! I just finally committed to making an account. Funny story I know you know LeanderMomma and apparently my girlfriend and I's moms sat next to her at BOA Austin and BOA SA. Small world.

Our website actually hasn't been updated yet. To my knowledge, we've opted to attend BOA Conroe instead of BOA Waco. We had originally planned for Waco but something happened. Sorry for the confusion!
