Really excited to see prosper after a sad outcome at the Bedford regional. Hoping for the best!

Prosper will remain 6A and the new high school (rock hill) will start at 5A.

Proud of Prosper for getting top 3 in both guard and percussion.

Hey Viewfromthebox, you've been there all day. Could you give us your personal predictions?

It was pretty questionable how Keller Central and the other school jumped up a total of 6 points within a week, but I didn’t see them perform at DFW so props to them for being able to improve so quickly!

How do you guys view prosper going into this competition? I have a friend in the band and they said they only performed 3/5th of their show at BOA Dallas and they’re adding 2 more. I really hope they shock people with those last 2 movements because I’m hoping for the best transition possible for them with new directors I think?

Judging seems a bit goofy

Prosper's Visual scores are what held them back. At HEB I saw them and I agree they were very sloppy however their music was great and I felt moved. I guess that comes with having no props to hide behind. Their show is one that will blossom towards the end of the season if they can pull it off. I became a Prosper fan last year because they were the only TX band at nats.

I disagree, I still believe 2015 was Hebron's best year (entertainment wise) because of the amazing sax solo. It was absolutely incredible and I would pay money for just that moment to be played again.

What happened to prosper? Did anyone see their performance? I can’t remember a time when a band made Grand National finals and then didn’t make finals at a regional??? I’m really confused.

Round rock did well but I don’t think they’re finals worthy. I enjoyed their show it just wasn’t very clean.

Just a couple years ago prosper placed last place at the Birdville ISD competition, and in just a few years under the new direction of John Alstrin we were only 2 out. Incredible growth.

I’m a related to Prosper and man, we did well and I’m excited for grand nationals. An 89.40 is definitely a great score and we’re happy with where we are.

How long was LD Bell’s streak of making state finals? I mean that’s impressive in itself. LD Bell is a great program and I hope they can come back in 2020 and make state again.

Prosper hasn’t been brought up once in these conversations, there was a very small gap between them and a lot of bands at BOA DFW and I know for a fact that prosper has there entire show on the field now and I’m super excited to see it. (I’m biased by the way)
