Our band has a bunch of kids who try to act black. But are at least slightly normal. Our "slang" are mostly just sounds that mean things. It's kinda hard to type...

Ours got moved up 4 1/2 hours, but not cancelled. It was awesome! I performed a "formal" concert in cargo pants and my letter jacket!

unlike me, im definately not. Texas migh beat OK State,

sax can sound really good (when our all-stater plays it) OR really bad (when I play it )

Thingz that suck: Falling 3 times on the ice, bruising your knee, shoulder, and butt.

I Heard them say that and I told my parents, and they thought I was crazy. Then the lady came on and corrected herself and i was like "see i told you so!" I'm so excited! Today I went sledding down an elementry school entry road, and i fell off a swing set, cause my foot got caught. Great times. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Yeah I can definately relate with NOT being able to play loud. I'll sit there blowing my brains out and the directors like "you can't play piano the whole time!" I'd love to play the Euph or the Horn if I were to play brass, but it's bassoon all the way for me. There is so many different colors and styles you can play with if your good. Plus the range is awesome. Wood Winds ROCK!

We almost played a song called "Commando March"... I have trouble naming the stuff I write. When I do pick out a name, it's something like "The Cowardly Prince, the Fiery Dragon, and the Beautiful Princess" or something weird and long that makes no sense.

The difficulty is all over the place for the bassoon music. Freshman year the lyrical selection had 7 flats with a 2 1/2 octave 32nd note triplet chromatic run. But then last year the music was relatively easy. The only things hard were the ornaments and the style cause it was baroque (sp?) music. This year it was kinda a happy medium. I think the sightreading is a good idea too. Oh, and equal area alignments...

For WW, English horn and bari sax, and basson when played right. If the reeds too bright...>_< I love f horn, and flugel horn, and euph in the brass. Chimes, and timp for percussion. Cello for strings.

That's definately true. We have an amazing clar player that didn't make it. Usually our district has 10-15 all-state players, but this year we had, count 'em, one.

I've only seen two bands ever use them, but I cannot think of their names...maybe it'll come to me.
